Noob, spend the extra money on a less shitty OS. 7 Home Premium sounds about the level of usefulness that XPx64 gives you BUT isn't as fail. Not to mention you get DX10 and later... 11.

You really don't need professional or ultimate for windows 7.

Money??? i got my windows 7 ultimate for free

its the real deal

I just want  to point out for the record that the problem lies with the drivers (not the OS) as the same problem has been reported on win7 and vista. So a big F**k off to the people who are blaming it on xp.

Why are you an ATI fanboy? because Nvidia makes superior cards...its fact, and Nvidia is far more widely recognised by gaming companies to boot...even the damn H264 decoders we use to watch anime...use Nvidia cuda.

Really...people only buy ATI because there cheap (same reason you buy AMD)...i guess some people still cling to the fact ATI was ok 5 years ago  :-\

Meh Well im kinda indifferent to Both manufacturers now.  Nvidia is plagued with driver issues and ATI cards have tiny heatsinks that are hard to clean etc etc. As for cuda; i have been using it a bit to convert videos but i think its still in its infancy & if you use it all the time itll burn out your card.

So meh. Both are bad.

Agreed, if I had my way I'd be Intel/Nvidia all the way. Right now however, that Radeon 4770 is just too awesome to pass up, Simply because it is the best card that my meager PSU can handle.

Only reason why I am avoiding Nvidia right now is that a ton of legal complications is stifling an otherwise awesome company. ATI hasn't given me any bad experiences yet, and it is cheap so I figure, why not.
