Weird Dreams Anyone?

I just took a nap and woke up in terror. My character for a game was rolled back in order to fix an error. That's 20 hours of grind, man! On another note, I've never had a lucid dream in my life but I've read a lot about it. Consider me jealous if you've had the pleasure of that experience.

Meh where do i start.

I dreamt that i was hopping around town questioning humanities screwed up life cycle, i saw images of green liquid orbs floating in the dark sky, i dont remember exactly but i think they where supposed to be a shield of some sort, when i got ahold of one i began to notice i was being followed. Saki Kasukabe from the anime Genshiken supposedly dating again after Kousaka managed to get rid of her, Saki confirmed my fears that i was indeed being trailed, from the looks of it it appears i was staying over at her house.

I ran back to my house and jumped out the 2 story window to throw them off, just as i was about to reach town all of a sudden police came out of nowhere and stopped me in my tracks, there i im sitting in the horrifically cold rain as the police contact my parents for whatever reason. Parents came the entire mess got sorted out then i went back home.

Parents went back to work then boom! Utu from Tower of Druaga comes to me complaining that Jil got captured by Lambdadelta and that he needs my help, all the while Satoko from Higurashi was spying on us and contacted Gaap which came to apprehend Utu and drag him away.
I was preparing the rescue mission, all of a sudden Gundam Seed jumps into the fray now, a small green haired kid came to my doorstep saying she was going to invite the others, before i could say Unfathomable she was already out of the building.

I must have lost consciousness somewhere because when i came too, all i remember is Satoko being turned into a palm sized plushie and i was about to kill her, i managed to restrain myself since the possibility of angering Gaap was high.

It was freaking cold out as i quickly tried to find a place to throw the alive freaked out plushie when i sensed that the Green haired kid and her friends was near.

Then i woke up... It was still dark out so i fell asleep again..

This time i dreamt i was on my computer watching my anime, there was a ruckus around the house so on my way to the toilet i went to investigate, it appeared that Ringo from angelic layer build a ridiculously long marble track and was behaving like her ADD ol'self. The blue haired boy from Beyblade was arguing with a lively girl that looked like Berntaskel, Bern took a BB gun and shot him in the head, it was a Comedic shot so yeah he appeared to be ok.

Then i dreamt about afew uninteresting stuff my clothes vanishing as i went to the restroom... huge undercover scandal with a governor and of all the places this dude chose to hide important data it had to be a a pair of socks..... Some couple escaping from a morphing house... The Serbian dessert... Ooh! then it gets interesting.

Some teenage boy running away before the authorities catch him because he pissed off some powerful figurehead?
The black haired boy which i'll call Hanji along with a blond accomplice which i'll name Sera ran into a poverty induced alley in the rain, water spilling everywhere, you could see the kids in their homes crying, Hanji and Sera decided to split up and meet again later.
Hanji found he had stumbled into some kind of Dark-Fedex Mailing system, there where people handling mail and preparing them.

Hanji soaking wet, spotted a new set of clothes and changed, another youngin which i'll call Eric spotted Hanji and told him to get out, the convo got interrupted when a fat girl came in and immediately got depressed after seeing Eric's face, When Hanji asked what was the matter, she painfully deluged on the days when she was slim and peppy. Eric kept harassing her 24/7 going as far to catch her off guard when she was sick, before it got out of hand she ate and ate until she because unattractive enough to ward him off.

Eric laughed maniacally while Hanji's face went dead pale, reason being that he is 30% female 70% male. 70% covering his personalty / voice the other 30% on the A sized chest.

Hanji deciding it was time to leave got up and left, Eric told him to hold on a a moment, since they were short on staff they could use an extra member, Hanji agreed.

Hanji climbed down a huge circular flight of stairs and then met up again with Sera who appeared to have brought a dehydrated Jade from the tales of abyss with her as time went on they became a couple.. lol

Hanji over time built up a following in the group to the point that he looked like a freaking leader man, i mean dam over 12 people following him, he looked like he was about to start some kind of rebellion. Oh and did i mention before he found Fedex Hanji made a pact with a eagle spirit in the dessert that saved him from dying there...
The eagle transformed into a human, we'll call him Ensin, who grew fond of Hanji. Ensin seemingly had the mentality of a 11 year old in a 18 year old body.

And then i woke up, putting an end to the chaos.

Give Lucid dreaming a shot, it's worth a try.  I had only 2 Lucid's and they were great fun (then I had 6 months of none so I gave up when I read about people who could do it easy whenever they want without as much time invested).  You may get lucky with one of the techniques and have lucid's almost right away.  Some people are just better atuned to it than I am. 

But even if you can't lucid, the techniques discussed increase all dream vividness and length.  It was a fun time.  I may give it another shot when I'm living alone again but until then, my house is too noisy and I have other things to keep me busy.

Heh i dreamt that my house was dark, no lights where on. I spotted someone on our computer i eavesdropped until he went away, then i went to check the computers current state. All the while my intuition was saying GTFO OUTTA THERE YOU IDIOT! The house was dark i could not tell if the robber was behind me, my fear reached it's peak then i decided it was time to go.

WOOSH He pop's out from the darkness and throws a knife, my back against the wall, knife missing me by 3 inches, frozen in terror.. I woke up in cold sweat. Was not funny at all.

I think the weirdest dream I ever had was the one I just kept waking up in. I think I woke up over 30 times...

I have a hard time sleeping on my back too but it is possible to enter lucidity in any position.  You have to either 'wake up' inside the dream and be conscious of the fact that you are in a dream (with triggers and some practice/training), or if you wake up and are on the verge of falling back to sleep, try to enter a lucid with a technique. 

I came close to going lucid on my back a few times (being awake and then using the WILD technique I think it was) but I woke up from the excitement more than the fact that I was on my back.  I usually entered lucidity when I was already asleep and recognized that I was dreaming, probably from one of my triggers.

It's been a few months since my graduation from the university and every once in a while I still get dreams where I failed a class or I forgot to do a report. They're really horrible dreams because they feel so real but when I wake up I get a huge sigh of relief :P.
Also had a dream that I was in Demon's Souls and fighting an endless wave of monsters. Nothing like a good pwnage dream :)

I dreamt that two of my favourite fish (a clownloach and a fighter fish) died, and the other fish in my tank were eating them. I was crying my eyes out about it (I probably will when they do die : / ) then I dreamt my boyfriend took out a loan of cigarettes from someone across the road who wanted them paid back in full, and suddenly they were money and he'd paid 35% back but she was saying he hadn't and she was a loan shark and took all our money and his trousers and suddenly he looked old.

Twelve years ago when I worked nights I got insomnia a lot, so I regularly took melatonin supplements... the stuff helped me fall asleep easily but always gave me the weirdest dreams.  I dreamt something very similar to the Matrix like a year or so before the first movie came out, so it was a bit disconcerting to see some of my unconscious ideas reflected in a movie not long after that dream.

It's been a few months since my graduation from the university and every once in a while I still get dreams where I failed a class or I forgot to do a report. They're really horrible dreams because they feel so real but when I wake up I get a huge sigh of relief .

I still dream of getting lost in the school.  It's like you said, quite realistic.  And I haven't attended a class (other than online) in over 2 years.

So I had a dream that zombies walked the earth and in order for me to live i had to act like a zombie.(that is moan and walk sluggish)I was in a restaurant when a zombie asked me for my order, so i asked for water that was a bad idea. He then moaned for the rest of the zombies to attack me because zombies dont drink water. So i ran for my life but for some reason i was unable to run right(it was as if only i had low gravity so i had a lot of air time in between steps)so i was really slow then before i was eaten alive i woke up.

It's strange cause I had a dream exactly like this except without the low gravity.

Had this dream last night

I was at some arcade shop and I was playing some weird machine. First, you have a roulette thingy to choose some weight. Then you have to attach whatever weight you got on a ball of paper. Next is you have to shoot your weighted paper ball to a can. The consolation prices are spray paints (I work at a paints section XD) and the main prices are ps3, xbox, dsi and psp 

My first try was a miss. Then on my second, I got lucky to have no weight attached. Of course, I made the shot!

This made me a legend. I became really really famous because of it. Then I became a mob boss. I ended up in an elite-only bar ordering a drink named "flower" that comes with a free hair clip!

I have some pretty vivid dreams if I take some melatonin  for whatever reason.

I've had several night terror incidents over the years..  The very first one was when I was 18 or 19 and still living in MD.   I woke up in the middle of the night and I shit you not,  looked at my turned off computer monitor and there was a skull and crossbones on that fucker, and then I suddenly felt this enormous pressure and my vision blurred like something was pushing me into my bed and trying to crush me.   Paralyzed, couldn't move.    When I could, I bolted to the nearest light switch.

Had one more incident before moving, that I think was just a bad dream because no one remembers me actually yelling or screaming.  But I thought I woke up to this figure standing over me and reaching out to me,  and all I could do was  scream "No get away" (lol?)  but I vividly remember bolting across the hall and just standard there in my parents room for a couple minutes.

Then I had several more night terrors the first couple of years after we moved into our current house.   One time I woke up after falling asleep on the couch, and couldn't move,  but I had this overwhelming feeling something was in the living room (and the shadows from the night light didn't help I guess)  and as soon as I was able to stand up I went for the nearest lit room which happened to be my brothers..  So I'm standing there half naked,  breathing hard and almost shaking and he's like  "wtf...whatever"

Oh well, I guess.. haven't had any for quite a few years now, but I always wonder if/when they'll come back.

I may be a bit strange, but I'm the type of person that doesn't have nightmares.  Something classifiable as a nightmare, for another person, is a dream that I find appealing.

Having said that, I've been recently plagued by the meaning behind a dream from not long ago.

At a certain point of the dream, I was walking through a fenced-in field of sparse foliage.  I was wearing this fancy gown, and was preoccupied with keeping it clean ... lol.  I soon walked up to a downtrodden shack--you know, the type with light from inside that pours out through cracks in the exterior.  Nice and spooky.  And there were a group of hominid-style creatures clustered around just outside, sitting on stools, buckets, tables ... whatever was there.  They were conversing about something unintelligible.  Some weren't entirely creature-esque, and, pointedly, one in particular was largely human.  He was wearing a leather biker jacket and jeans, but his skin was pure black with the exception of his face.  His face was contoured with orange highlights, and I think his mouth met his nose like seen on a lion.  As soon as I saw his face, I was immediately struck with a surrealistic impression that I knew him, or that I knew of him.  And that's weird for a dream, because I always am aware that I am dreaming.  I've never had such a powerful feeling in a dream before.  But, just as I felt this, a dark presence behind me caught the attention of all of these "shack-dwellers," and seemingly commanded their obedience.  No utterance was made from this being, but every creature there (and myself) understood that their immediate action was commanded.  They all instantly began to change into horrific creatures, and the one that I recognized changed into a creature that I somehow expected--once again, like I knew him.  Then, every one began charging, as if into battle, off into the distance.

I was intently interested in what was happening, so I flew up and tried to follow them.  But the aforementioned presence was like a wall of darkness in front of me, and as soon as I reached it ...

I woke up.

I have since been trying to find out just what the orange/black guy was, because I assumed it must have been representative of something I had seen from mythology, a movie, or some literary work.  Can't find anything.  But I was so certain I knew it.

I do. I see everything in black and white but I still know what colour things are. Like grass is green but it just looks dark gray etc.

I would have a lot of dreams to write here. I'll start with two but if you want to hear more I'll write those here too.

There was one nice fantasy one. I had a fairy. Or more like a pixie perhaps. The small and lovely lady type. Kinda like those in Zeldas. She had a gorgeous indigo dress and four silvery wings. Long golden hair and sky blue eyes. You know the type right? Everyone does. Not sure but I think she was only for me to see. No that doesn't sound right. More like everyone else ignored her if she didn't do something to make them notice her. Everyone could see her but if she didn't want to they never noticed or remebered her. Just like something that just flashes in the corner of one's eye and is forgotten the same moment it's gone. I got the feeling that we were in love but I'm not sure if it was platonic relationship for obvious reasons or if she was more like a sister to me.
Nevertheless she was a lovely lady. I felt sad when I woke up. Like I had parted with a part of myself that I loved dearly. Thgat was an all new feeling from dreams for me that stayed.

In another one I'm a cop. I'm not sure why we are in my grandparents house. All I know my partner is terrified. We both have shotguns and we are slowly andvancing to the bathroom. My partner hoes in first only to be not seen again. I see a huge unarmed thugh coming out and try to shoot him in the head but he grabs the barrel and the shot misses. I back a few meters to a kitchen table. Three other thugs come after the huge guy. They are all quite big. They gather around me. i still aim at the big guy. I'm pretty much panicking at thius point. I try to cut a deal with them. That if I shoot the big guy they let me go. The oldest, who appears tp be a leader seems to think about it but the others burst out laughing. I take the chance and shoot the big guy's head off, load the shotgun and sprint out of the ring. They all have fallen grave silent as I aim them with the gun now. I hear something from behind me and turn just in time to shoot one more thug. I try to load it but it gets jammed. The three thugs start advancing on me again. Too bad for them I faked it. Boom! One more headless thug. I load and turn around to look for another thug behind me while still keeping an eye on the two in the kitchen. I start walking to the front door but check the storage area at my right side. Good thing I do since there was a guy there too. He goes down. I start loading more shots to my gun and the other thug darts towards me. He isn't fast enough. I shoot him. I load one more round to my gun just in case. I look at the leader. He seems strangely calm. Quite the opposite of me. I'm in a state of fear vey close to panick. But almost isn't yet there. Can't have any loose ends. I shoot him too.

The end. This lacks the details but make due with what you get.
That was a pump action shotgun with seven rounds. That leaves one after I shot the leader.
I was terrified the whole time. I think most when I didn't hit the big guy. I though I was dead. Lucky for me I wasn't.

Mizore:   First thing that comes to mind from your description would be something like  "The Beast" from  Beauty and The Beast..  I dunno.   I wish I could have dreams where I was in control like that.

Cause then I would always want to sleep, haha..   It would be awesome to run off to  Tolkien Land or something in your dreams.

I dunno...  I had a dream that puzzled me a few years ago..   The setting and everything seemed really familiar although at the same time it was totally Alien to me,  and at the end of it I was searching this property with a run down house or whatever and ended up at this room or closet  with a single light hanging from a wire and then this little girls voice just echoed everywhere  "La la la, la la, la"

I woke up all  WTF.    But that was the most loudest, clear voice I have ever heard in a dream before.  Usually dialogue in my dreams are pretty subdued, or low level,   but for whatever reason this was really loud and all around.  

weird stuff..   I think I might try this lucid dreaming thing  out sometime.


I think the most outright weirdest dream I ever had when I was young,  was that I was the Marine from  DOOM.   It was terrifying at first,  and then I got killed by an Imp  and crumpled to the ground and my vision even  went  red like when you die in the game,  but then I respawned and was like...  oh awesome!   and starting shooting crap with the plasma rifle.. heh.

All dreams in which I had experienced something that I never experienced before in life (e.g. getting stabbed), what makes it weird is I can't relate what I experienced in the dream with anything I experienced during my lifetime, and so far didn't get to experience any of them in reality to compare them with how they felt when I first dreamed of them.

I've only had one dream where I realized I was dreaming, but I couldn't control it and couldn't make myself wake up no matter how hard I tried... Guess this calls for trying to learn lucid

Also I'd like to mention the worst 2 waking-up experiences I've had: waking up with what can be best described as pseudo-amnesia (took me a few seconds to remember who I was), and sleep paralysis  :'(

A post in the "What you fear most?" made me remember...

I once had a really weird dream... I usually don't remember them. It was in an obscure city in a nearly future. There was like a war raging on... I remember seeing soldiers (very similar to the anime Jin-Roh) and if you looked at the shore, you could see all kind of ships, destroyers, cruisers and more to the distance some battleships. They were everywhere, it was an unknown faction trying to take control of the city by slaughtering everything they find, destroy the local resistance, blowing places, killing people, children, everything. I didn't know where they were from, but where I was, I could see lolis and shotas all over the place, scared to death and being killed by those things. I couldn't stand that so I killed one of the Jin-Rohs with a .45 handgun (no idea where I got it or why I had it) and rescued some lolis. I gave them first aids and treated their wounds and took them with me. Suddenly, when we were hiding from the "things", something hits me in the back and I fainted. When I got up I was in some kind of prison with the lolis beside me. For some reason one of them didn't get caught and followed us to that place. From now... it gets MORE weird... don't ask why...

She took off her clothes (but not the underwear). She seemed cold, frightened and embarrassed for a minute, but the next she look more sure of herself. She lured one of the two guards away with her panties... there I don't know what she did but she returned alone with the key to the cell. The moment she gave it to me... the 2nd guard took her away and raped her horribly. There it turned more like a nightmare seeing that. The guy was enormous and the kid... too soft, imagine the thread of "Korea seeks to protect loli". When we escaped the poor girl was already dead so we ran away as fast as we could.

And from there it went more like a sweet dream... we reached a quiet place, it was some kind of sewer, the fighting and screams of the outside weren't heard from that place. So we decided to stay there to rest for the night. And well, before going to sleep it was a loli fest. They got next to me, I hugged them and slowly they began to trust me and we started to play sex games, like touching, taking off clothes, and the like. I made them feel like never before in her lives and I enjoyed every moment of it. Why the dream ended like this? No idea. It was weird... but I liked it (the last part, the prison part was horrible). I don't remember everything exactly, this is the best I could make out. The strangest dream in my life I have to say xD. I'm going to sleep now... trying to dream something like this again
