It's based on a novel not a visual novel ;) Too bad that only a small percentage of the whole lore is translated in English though :( The episodes that are covering the only English translated novels are 1-9~. The end of the Mongauli Nospherus campaign.

It was a good series. Got my fingers crossed for a second season, there is enough material in the novels that they could cover many seasons without filler either. If you like fantasy I would give it a try.

Scudworth:
the problem I run into with fantasy anime is they all seem to be based of romance of the three kingdoms.
I know that's not entirely true but when I'm searching I get the feeling it is.

Awesome anime, a japanese version of Conan the barbarian. I have only seen six episodes so far
