I found a house!
AceHigh:
A bit expencive, just moved myself into an apartment that cost me about 516 Euro per month. However it is in the middle of the centre of my town and is about 90 square meters. Enough for both of us.

Proin's an NCO in the U.S. Navy. AntiPaladin is in the U.S. Navy too.
Some U.S. servicemen quite like their stay in Korea.
--- Quote from: U.S. armyman no. 1 ---I enjoyed my tour there quite a bit. I avoided getting stationed there almost my entire career, for no real good reason. In 2004, after being in the US Army for 14 years I received orders to go. The only regret I had was not going sooner, I hope to go back before I retire. The Korean people were great, the country was beautiful, being in 2nd Infantry Division was rewarding.

--- Quote from: U.S. armyman no. 2 ---I had 4 tours to Korea. 60-61, 69-70, 78-79, 81-82.
During the 1st tour I was actually driving a priority load through Seoul when Gen Park lead the Coup d'etat. I was scared to death. With all the soldiers and tanks every where, I didn't know if they were North or South.
The 2nd tour I spent most of the time at a small camp near Rod Range. Beautiful country in that area. That year was the best overall of the 22 years I spent in the Army.
3rd tour was the easiest tour, as I was at Camp Humphreys, and was NCOIC of the TMP Motor Pool. Had 3 military, and about 50 Korean Civilians, with most working there at least 20 years.
4th tour was at Cp Colbern and Camp Red Cloud, and many mountain tops. 6 to 6 1/2 days a week, 12-14 hours a day. Was in the 304th Signal Bn, that the 2nd ID guys called 304th Infantry, since we spent way more time in the field than they did.
Overall, these 4 tours were the most rewarding of my 22 years. Seeing Korea go from a War torn 3rd World country, to a modern Asian power, is amazing. I am sure that if Gen Park would not of took control, and made the huge changes he did, Korea would be under the control of the Nut Case up North.

Win.
Proin has seen too little. Judging from his age he's served for, what, three years? Four years? Greenhorn. (kekekeke!!!) He hasn't stayed in Korea for long.
You can't call these Korean-loving U.S. armymen mentally challenged just because they decided to serve and leave Korea in good spirit and because they were not Navy personnel.
To each man his own.

The second quote is from a guy going from the 1960s-1980. Totally useless information you doof.
The first one fares better, but it's only 1 voice from a voice of many. Not to mention you can get people going to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia etc. who will say the place is pretty, nice, people are warm etc. Yet the truth still states those countries are poor as shit.

In the (not quite) two years I've been stationed in Japan I've spent just over two months (non-consecutive) in Korea.
And I'll hit three years February 27, 2010.
And I'm a Petty Officer 2nd Class. Equivalent to an Army or Marine Sergeant or an Air Force Staff Sergeant. More specifically I'm an Electronics Technician 2nd Class since my rate (my job) is Electronics Technician.
