Anyone know someone with epilepsy

(1/2) > >>

Jesta23:
A girl I work with has epilepsy, we talk quite a bit and shes told me what to do if she ever has a seizure in front of me so I thought it wouldnt be such a big deal.

Until she had one tonight. That is some scary shit. I was so afraid for her. Especially since theres not alot you can do, other then hold her and be there for her when she comes to.
Because it was at work they had to call 911, and made a huge scene out of it, which makes her feel even worse about it.

Have any of you been in a similar situation?

Smokeyjr2:
Did you take advantage of her while she had the seizure?  ???

Serous note:No but i hope not to either.

Jackie was like that too. She would get seizures few times a night when I was sleeping with her. At first it was creepy and I was scared for her but after the first time Im just there for her when she comes. Its not as bad as it looks. Most of the damage is when she falls and swings her arms around. I made sure she wasn't choking on her spit and made she she doesnt hurt herself. So yes I have seen someone have a seizure before.

One of my friends in middle school had epilepsy, I never got to first hand one of his but due to knowing what to do from him I ended up helping a person at a bus stop one day having a seizure. Though I will say I am glad when things require action over words since when my mind gets racing from adrenaline or ect. I can barely mutter a sentence.

Glad I don't have that crap.  I had a seizure about two years ago,  weirdest experience ever.   Because I was sort of lucid after I recovered, but was ignoring what everyone was saying to me and just crawled back into my bed  (I was in the kitchen smoking) and then I wake up later that morning with my mom standing over me, cause the doctor was on the phone checking up on me, and I'm like  "wtf why are you home?"  heh...  Totally blacked out until I was told what happened and started to remember some of it.

Had bruises on my arm and back, and was real sore for about a month..  damn medication interactions  :-[

But glad it wasn't a seizure disorder.
