So i've just started watching Gintama and so far i was wondering does it even have a story line because it doesnt really seem like its going anywhere. (Only on eps 10)

It is actually quite random so if you want an overarcing storyline like naruto then forget it... but if you want self contained type arcs then watch this one.

It has a few mini story arcs, but mostly it's focused on the random comedy.

I just started watching it. It's awesome and hilarous.
Only thing that bugs me is
(click to show/hide)Why are there no mention of the references to Hajime no Ippo?
I'm up to eps 3X and they didn't say anything when Otae was using the Dempsey roll nor the dialogue about the "heavy fists" of a champion (Gintama eps 32).
