Evangelion in Level 1 JLPT test. Trick question?

What's the answer? My Japanese isn't the greatest but this seems like a trick question. Am I missing something?

Here is what I gather:

Guy: Captain, our second line of defense has been breached! The monster is heading for the Command Center!

Guy2: We won't last 30 mins at this rate!

Captain: Which Model Fighters can be deployed right now?

Guy: Only Unit 00.

Captain: Seems like we have no choice but to deploy Unit 04.

Guy2: Testing for Unit 04 is incomplete. Besides, we don't have anyone capable of piloting it

Captain: Unit 00 won't be able to stop that thing. So I will pilot Unit 04.

Guy: You're going to go yourself? But Captain, you won't be able to withstand Unit 04's acceleration with that injury!

Asuka: I'll go!

Captain: Asuka!

Asuka: I'll be able to pilot/control Unit 04. So please, lemme go!

Captain: But you're still in training. Now's not the time for kids to show off their skills.

Asuka: Now is not the time to argue about this! <runs away>

Captain: Hey! Asuka! Wait!

Computer announcer: Unit 04 is ready for launch.

Captain: We're counting on you Asuka.

From what you've written surely the answer is number 4?

I assume that by the woman it means Asuka

They refer to Asuka as a child/girl/kid (kodomo) in the context though, the question uses the word onnanohito which means woman, so I was thinking they were talking about the computer voice at the end which is a woman's.  Thus, part of the trick...

If you finish that test successful you can more or less say of yourself that you speak japanese almost natively...

That's why I hate trick questions... I don't think I could pass level 1 if I tried. My kanji is too weak and my vocab is spotty. I'm pretty sure I could pass level 2 though with some recap cram studying (took 3 years in college). But trick questions aren't really a test of what you know in a particular subject. It's more of a test of logic and pure intelligence using the subject (in this case; japanese) as a medium to test it.

Kind of like IQ tests that use math. If some African bush native was brought to America to test his IQ whom has never learned even basic math, and the test contained some basic math, would that be an accurate gauge of his intelligence quotient? An IQ test is supposed to test what you are capable of learning. Not what you already know. That's how I feel about trick questions.
