Anyone still using Xvid?

As the topic title says.

Does anyone here still grab xvid encodes when h264 ones are available? If yes, what are your reasons? Discuss. Keep it civil. I'm asking out of curiosity, and need some other perspectives.

Daiz:
No. The only reason to do so would be hardware compatibility and even that is utterly useless since nobody cares about overscan which in turns leads to subtitles getting cut off at times. Link related:

Other than that if I want to convert something (to my PSP for example) softsubbed MKVs are equally easy to deal with compared to hardsubbed shit.

And even my EEE PC 901 plays most softsubbed 720p H.264 MKVs just fine, so even that isn't a reason to ever get XviD AVIs.

So in summary, I never get XviD releases unless they're the only thing available.

kurandoinu:
I have been known to when the alternative has ordered chapters. As a mac user the only thing I've found so far that can play those things is XBMC and it cuts the opening and ending out completely.

Lupin:
I only get them when:

1. the only option
2. I started watching a show with that encode. Example: I started watching Top Gear a few years back with the Xvid encodes. Although the latest series is also available in H264 (and in HD), I already started watching it in Xvid so I stick with Xvid versions)
3. If it's anime and the group I decided to follow releases it in only in Xvid, I'll stick to the Xvid instead of switching to another group (this currently no longer applies)

kurandoinu:
I'm lucky enough to just be able to record that off BBC HD. Jeremy Clarkson is scary in high res
