I looked at doing a media course in Birmingham, but the interview that they gave me was so lacklustre it was untrue. Most of the people who were waiting were like "wtf, that was crap". Then I looked at De Montfort in Leicester and the damned interviewer was so mean I cried on the phone after (filed an official complaint about my interview there :/ ).
My college course told us to all put Wolverhampton down as a backup uni as they let anyone in without an interview. So when my friend had to go for an interview I laughed very very hard

If you believe that then I don't think you've ever been to Birmingham.
Seriously, I grew up in London, but I've travelled so damn much everywhere is the same to me, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham.
It's all the same to me. The accent is different obviously, some are horrible some are not.
It's all about the area, I know shitty areas and I know good areas, that's all it is...really...isn't it?
Get some higher standards? hahahahaha you're funny, I think having higher standards actually makes me sad, why not have no standards at all? just go for what you like.

We both have the same qualifications. Yours from Birmingham, and mine from Harvard... You know who'd they take.
As a matter of fact, I -have- been to Birmingham. Several times, and Liverpool.
I'm from Swindon, now living in Essex.
But I've noticed, the further north in England, the worse it gets. Although there are a few exceptions.
