I just have to say that almost all of those original "love of W7" things you have listed (over XP) are all fixable in XP. You obviously didn't try hard enough.

I've never used Windows XP but i used vista and i did not like it. I've had windows 7 for a few months now and i love it!! No negatives in my opinion.
