Download and seeding Issues
« on: December 10, 2009, 03:22:59 PM »
Hello. I cannot get torrents to download or seed on my torrent box. Even the freeleech ones. However, They work fine on my main computer. It's as if the tracker is ignoring this box and not my main PC. I first figured I was warned for a low ratio, But this doesn't seem to be the case. I've read in other posts that you can use more than one computer, so long as one is seeding and the other is downloading. Is there any way to make the tracker see my torrent box? I really don't want to use my Main PC for this thing.

you can seed and leech from both without problem - as long as it is not the same torrent

what is the client on your seedbox? maybe that one is not whitelisted.
and have you properly added a torrent with your private key? otherwise you will upload as anon.
does it output any error messages?

Utorrent 1.8.5.

I was aware thatyou can't download both onto both, however the ones that are not downloading on the box work fine when moved to my main PC. A good example is the Queen millenia OST, Its' free leech. But remains at 0% on the box(Despite having 12 seeds), But as soon as I move it to my main PC it immediatly starts downloading.

As for key? I don't know what you mean by that.

no error messages from what I can tell.

do other torrents (like from tpb or isohunt) work on your seedbox?
there is normally some kind of tracker message (like "working" or "hostname not found" ... etc.), it would be great if you could get that one (from the seedbox) and post it here.

As there are non-anime files downloading ont he box from TPB and such, Yes. They work just fine. And by that you mean, Download an Anime from TPB and post it here? Or do you mean something else?

nono, no downloading from tpb and posting here needed, just wanted to know if you can seed/leech with the seedbox in general.

the tracker message i was talking about is something like this:

(that's for my local client. i don't know which interface you use for the seedbox so you might have to search a bit)

Oh! It reads as working. With 13 seeds and 1 leecher, and 333435 downloaded

If I knew how to post images here I would take a screenshot.

ok, i'm out of ideas.

you are sure the torrent from bakabt is started, you have free slots and/or hd space on your seedbox left and you are not leeching or seeding the same torrent locally?

Yes, Its shown as downloading. I have plenty of Free spots, and 120 Gb of free space on that drive. And no, I am not. I've turned utorrent off on that machine just to be sure. Maybe possibly a late bit of Info. Could I have locked myself by using my Main PC to download first? If thats the case I wish I had known, I would have built the box first before I started doing that.

I solved the issue. There was apparently an issue in the windows I installed. I formatted the drive and re-installed and everything appears to be working just fine now :)
