Favorite Anime Genres

(1/7) > >>

ultama121:
I'm actually doing a research paper for school and I got to pick the topic.  Initially it was people's general opinions on anime in general... but my teacher chose to interpret it as "People's Opinions on different anime genres."  So, I'm taking a survey on what people's favorite genres are.  I'd make this a poll but I don't know how.  So here are the choices:

Action/Adventure
Comedy
Drama
Horror
Mecha
Mystery
Romance
Sci-fi
Slice of Life

Pick one please. :)

Thanks. :D

Err.. Most anime usually fall under more than 1 genre. So your poll is kinda skewed...

Like Toradora... That's a Romatic Comedy.

Or Bakemonogatari, A sci-fi romance.

Or FMA, An adventure comedy.

Or Lucky Star, A slice of life comedy.

Some even fall under more than one. Like:
Death Note: An Action/drama/sci-fi mystery.
Macross F: A Mecha/action/comedy romance?
Nodame Cantabile: A Drama/Comedy/Romace?
Code Geass: A mecha/sci-fi/drama/action adventure?
Saikano: A Slice of life/romantic comedy?
School Days: A sci-fi/mecha/adventure romance?

ultama121:
I realize this, but most anime have a main genre.

FMA is adventure.

Lucky Star is comedy.

Death Note is drama.

Macross F is mecha... but you know what, I'll take out mecha for now, it isn't a genre its a theme.

Code Geass is action adventure.

Saikano is defintely romance.

School Days is horror.

I'd talk about the rest, but I don't know enough about them.

Seriously, just pick whichever element you look for most in an anime.

I was being a bit facetious with those two.

I can tell. ;)
