stupid math? X3
muesli:
hi :)
did you ever think about a problem too much even if it is not relevant at all?
that happened to me recently when i was playing this new game on my phone (epic chef wars)
as i believe that you are all smart guys and girls i thought maybe you can help me to solve it :)
i want to know how i get the most money in the least amount of time. to get money i have to buy investments (or fight - which i don't want to consider).
and now there comes the basic question:
is it better to buy investments for $240 where i get $10 per hour
or is it better to buy the ones for $1500 and $45 per hour?
the goal is to get 200 slots (=max) of the second investment asap.
so lets say i have $1000 at the beginning and start the game 5 times a day (only during the day..) and buy as much investments as i can every time. what would be the fastest way to get 200 of the second one? :) (think about the fact that the cheaper ones have a better ratio but need to be sold later to make space for the more expensive ones..)
*embarassed for thinking so much about such a stupid problem*

Kurmo:
how much do you get for selling the small ones ?
muesli:
~welcome Kurmo :)
i get $120 for it
Kurmo:
Thanks for the welcome, I actually look around the board for quite a while now ^^
I'm just shy ;D
So for your game, I would first fill all the slots with the cheap ones.
Once you have 200 of those sell them sell and buy as many big ones as possible.
Then repeat that again meaning,
Buy small ones until all your slots are full again and then sell them again and stock up the large ones.
do this until you have all 200 slots full of big ones.
I think that's the best way, I will try to calculate it when i come back from the disco.
Talapus:
From some back of the envelope calculations, you would need to own the smaller investment for ~43 hours to make it cost effective. I'm too lazy to actually complete the math though.
