I remember yelling a lot when minor characters in Zeta Gundam would get killed off doing something heroic or dumb or both... sounds kind of funny, but when I watched the show with my roommate 2 or 3 years ago, we spent most of the show rooting for the minor characters.

I would say Suzuka. Too many moments to mention, but always was when Yamato and Suzuka were alone in a scene. She was a beyotch and he was an a$$. Never seen such unlikable characters that were NOT meant to be unliked.
