(click to show/hide)the 1 year timeskip at the end... seriously wtf was that crap it made no sense

I don't see how that made no sense.

(click to show/hide)They knew that her leaving was for the better since her dad couldn't keep paying for the apartment and she had to be with her mom now and we all know her mom wouldn't accept her leaving with Ryuuji. Now they skip a year, Ryuuji said in 4months he would be 18 an adult, I'm guessing Taiga is now 18 also since its been over a year and she was in her last year of school like Ryuuji. She came back to him because she loves him and he knew all along she would come back to him. It ain't a surprise it ended this way. Wouldn't you go back to the person you truly loved after you turn 18 and graduated already?

All it was, was to show they actually got to be together in the end and just skipped 1yr so you can see that.... Honestly if they ended it with Taiga leaving for good how do you think the viewers would feel about it? They wanted to place a closer and make the viewers happy.

Also ending with her staying with him would still leave the question of her mother..... Remember that her mom tried to take Taiga with her so they can live together since the apartment couldn't be paid for anymore by her dad. So if they ended it with her living with Ryuuji would be leaving things that were unanswered and can throw signs of a season 2 which seriously is not needed.

All of it made sense to me o.O Nothing was out of place at all other then the fact that no one, but him noticed and ran to her.
Anyways on topic:

hanbun no tsuki ga noboru sora Episode 4 I think:
(click to show/hide)Rika faints in front of Yuichi.
All I was think while he just stood there asking if shes okay was, "GOD DAMN PICK HER UP AND GET HELP ALREADY!!!! STOP WASTING TIME BEFORE HER HEART DOES STOP!!!!"

Sorry to rehash this after so long but just read this posting  and I wanted to comment on Toradora. (click to show/hide)Taiga was acting based on what Ryu had said. She wanted to resolve her issues with her family before starting a new life with Ryu. Remember how Ryu stopped them from running away and instead reconciled his mom with her parents? He didn't want them to spend the rest of their life running away from their past/family. Taiga is in essence "growing up" and taking responsibility for her life. She ran away from her mom, ran away from her new step family, but because of Ryu's influence decided she had to face up and resolve those issues. So she went back to do so (moved in with new step family etc). The lack of contact was because she didn't trust her ability to leave her friends and Ryu (so didn't want to say "goodbye") and she wanted to come back with a clean slate in a way that allowed them to be together without compromise. That is both as "adults" (after graduating - remember that Ryu had originally asked her to wait while he stayed away till he was old enough to be considered an adult).  As for Ami, she made plenty of attempts to win Ryu over, just not enough to penetrate Ryu's cluelessness - think about all the times she got mad at him for "not getting it." Probably part of the problem was that Ryu was predisposed to thinking of her as manipulative which added to his lack of experience w/women (remember everyone was afraid of him at the start) meant that he wouldn't have been overly receptive to anything short of getting whacked with a clue-bat over the head

Tetsuro in Galaxy Express 999 does this constantly for almost all of the 113 episodes.  I just want to read into my lcd and strangle him sometimes.

(click to show/hide)Depsite his attitude to dive into trouble head on, and do anything he's told not to do, he's like a cat that won't leave something alone.  Maetel could tell him not to push the red button in their hotel room and he'd eventually do it and there'd be some awful result like a nuclear detonation and destroy the 39.  To give an exact season/episode is really hard, its more of the opposite: when doesn't he do something he's explicitly told not too despite knowing the consequences could be death. His ultimate rebellious attitude doesn't really work unless you're someone like Harlock.  Nearly every episode Maetel has to go out and save his sorry ass from being disintegrated by some gang he got angry at and started a fight.  Eventually he starts to learn from his past mistakes but still somehow manages to get in over his head and still needs Maetel to save him.
