I"ve been on Cox and Charter... But never Comcast.  I have heard mix things about it.  But i'll tellyou this, anything is better than my Cox At the Moment.

I know a little futher north from me and your in Comcast territory, but from what ya'll say, i'll probably get Clear before i do that...

Buckeye Cable System screwed me over too. I started out with 700Kb/s upload and after a week of some great seeding I noticed it had slowed magnificently. When I rechecked the upload speed I notice it dropped down to 35Kb/s magically. It seems ridiculously unfair to pay the same price for less upload. Not to mention that I have a 12 Meg connection type at my apartment and a 2 Meg connection with Time Warner at my parents house yet I get better upload at the 2 Meg :(

well this sucks. It seems that I cant get 50Mbps down and 10Mbps up because DOCSIS 3.0 isnt on my street but it is down the fucking street......

i had comcast before they were throttling things, and while they were throttling before they were caught.

The only positive thing about comcast was i never got a CND letter from them. Which isnt so much a positive as it is not a negative.
I used to have to restart my computer to get internet working on it because comcast would lock me the fuck out for seeding on bit torrents.
Tested on 4 computers to make sure it wasnt something goofy like a NIC problem.


So fuck comcast.


My verizon fios is quite nice im happy with my current upload cap of 5mb, cuz i wont pay extra to upgrade it to 15mb

Are you suggesting that he refrain from purchasing any internet service at all, and just leech off of unsecured hotspots that he can find?  Or was wifi not the word you were looking for?

Heck I still can't get over the fact that most people have a fixed amount of data they can get from the internet every month. Just the thought of having such service disturbs me to no end.

Charter says they have such a policy in effect, but I haven't gotten any notifications, and I'm well over the limit (unless they only count downloads, which seems unlikely, but possible).

really? thats weird because its been noted on the wiki that comcast does throttle upload speeds

hmm.. how long ago was this man? For some reason my conections been just dying lately for some reason lately. I thought the wifi card in the laptop was glitching since it only seemed to fix with a restart (manually turning the card off and on didn't seem to work) But i have been seeding a lot lately.. wonder if thats whats happening

If my upload is being throttled then it goes down to 2Mib/s extremely fast or extremely slow (now more the 1 second or days).

I know its weird, but I don't complain.

It would cost $116 a month and yes its business class but I cant get it because my area isn't DOCSIS 3.0...it is down the fucking street but not at my house

My town doesnt have docsis3.0 yet but every town next to me does.....this is a tease. I wanted to get the 50Mbps down 10Mbps up

I second the leeching of wifi. My lovely 'net cafe has a great connection that I'm pulling over 1 mbs down from. And the coffee ain't bad either.
