l don't have hopes up for any anime, l try to enjoy it as it is, most cases, l do ;]
this show is no different, it has a lot of interesting stuff, l try not to be affected by moe~ism, and focus on the story told, it's quite enjoyable ^P^

My hope increased for this title after this episode as it did not feel like the past episodes where I was wondering in which direction they were going with the story and characters. I expect the group going into combat but near the end or final episode. (click to show/hide)I think Kanatas trumpet skills will be playing a big role in upcoming episodes because I think music is needed to activate the tanks special lens which was hinted at in episode 4 I think.

not music, (click to show/hide)they used sound to check if the copy was propper, sound resonates in frequencies, if the copy of the lens was made properly, the resonance it gave out should match that of the original, Kana has expert ears for sound, it was coincidence it worked out, music had nothing to do with it.
as for the part with her trumpet (click to show/hide)dunno if you noticed but sound is their logistics in combat, after every tank taken down they announced it with music, it's basic communication, l think what the captain wants is to prevent those girls from suffering like she did, she explained that, and l think an experience like that could be traumatic to many ppl, and those girls are very young, it would be bad, however l think they will be into combat one day, l wonder how this will go on, l'm expecting a lot from it, a lot og goodness
tbh, l havent seen an anime with this ammount of moe with seemingly such serious topic.

I just watched the first episode the other night. I thought it was really cute. I may have an advantage. I never saw K-ON, so I have nothing to compare it to.
