off the current debate--
i watched 6 episodes so far (are there more up?) and i'll say this:

I can't see any plot in the show. no character progress. well.... no music (if it's about music). nothing but moeblob thing... :/
i think main character is a bit *wee* (retarded). other characters are there just for the sake of moe.

i'll watch this till end to see what it'll evolve to. still,... got few bright moments

there are 7 eps, so far not much of the main story was told, butt hats not retarded, no one makes you watch this if you don't like it, l like it so far, the bits told so far are interesting.

Kanata is energetic. That's something different than being retarded.

And if you don't like it so far, by all means quit watching then or don't complain about it if you finish it and still don't like it.

I like it myself, even if there doesn't seem to be much of a story in it so far.

not everything has to be exciting all the time, a change of lace is recommended, or you end up hating most anime that isn't DBZ-type

then go watch Kampfer, l like this relaxing tone and funny anime, tough l wonder if kampfer wil lhave a s2, if so l'd watch it, if not, no loss, it was funny, and this show is nice to me, no one is forcing you to watch something you don't like.

fyi the story so far is only being revealed in small bits, and sometimes in larger bits, but l think they eventually will show more, you can't expect to see a show where a new recruit comes into a base, and the next day war breaks out, that would be pointless towards the story.

ANN says 12 episodes. Apparently 2 extra DVD only episodes are going to be released, so there will be 14 episodes. Things seem to be set for a little conflict, wonder how the last T.V. episodes will play out.

yeah, l'm guessing there really will be an S2, and hoping to it, the little bits of story they showed so far isn't much, unless tha twas intentional, to show a story of some war from a side view, not involving certain points. If so it would make sense, but l'm not gonna be satisfied with just that.

thats quite a lot of information at once, are we sure this is 12 ep series ? it sure doesn't seem so, unless the S2 is in the works as we speak, it's hard to belive this will end in next episode.

Ah I get your post now, I do not speak German so I saw no problem, I give them a little credit for using a different language, instead of having both sides speak Japanese.

One episode left plus the 2 extra episodes on the DVD/BD, it could end next episode or come to a semi conclusion so they can pick up where they left off if a second season is conceived and or green lit.

l wouldn't mind a second season, question comes, what will the extras have if the series ends at the peak of things, if there will be second season then the extras could contain some answers as to what happened in the past. I would welcome this then.
