Just saw the first three eps and I am VERY pleased I downloaded. are the OVAs worth getting?

yes, they tell a little bit more about their world, and a nice laugh in 7.5 is always nice ;)
though episode 13 (OVA2) gives more information about their world, and what is Rio's goal.

idk but I found the ep where Kanata had to goto the bathroom but couldn't insanely funny. xD

yeah that was funny, there are many lulz moments in this show, it seemed light hearted, but the final eps were pretty cool.
