So-Ra-No-Wo-To
PithyGriff:
Just finished this and really enjoyed it. The characters were fun, and everyone got a nice bit of development.
My favorite thing was how the plot picked up in episodes 11 and 12. Normally, I'd wish they had cut everything and just made a short (better) ova from the few episodes with plot. But I thought it was a refreshing departure from typical story telling methods. A very nice surprise.
Yeah, it was sorta K-ON! in a war setting. But I think the bleak world made the cuteness poignant, in a way. Like, when the world is caving in, you might as well be happy. If I were living in Post-Apocalyptia, I'd much rather be stationed with people with that attitude and energy.

Yeah, it is like K-ON! in a war setting, but with an actual story and some real character development. Moe blobs are cute.

How come I cannot post on what looks like the real Sora no Woto thread?
Anyway, any recommendations on the best release for this anime? (I love best vid quality (BD's))
I've been eying it for a while.
Thanks all!

Raising Lazarus! Bringing "dead posts" back to life!
I absolutely LOVE this series! Every part of it makes me happy, it's just great!
Episodes 1-5 were terrific, but Episode 6? (The "Mafia" one) Is one of the finest things I've ever seen! Within the context of the series, it's just... so good! And the "scuttlebutt" is that this series gets even better? :omg:
So: Half way through and I'm hooked, lined and sinkered! The quality of this series will cause me to seek out more from this Company, artist, writer & etc. It's just so good!
Did I mention that I think it's good? Yes? Ok then...

Not really meaning to necro the thread (Again) but I thought I might mention that my school had a holocaust assembly the other day and ended said assembly with a few talented singers closing with a vocal rendition of Amazing Grace. It also happened to be on the day that the animu club I run met so we watched the last two episodes of this show and everyone mentioned how they were getting shivers from watching those two episodes. Especially so, probably, because some of them hadn't seen the show before and they didn't realize the significance of the tie-in with Amazing Grace the show had to the assembly we had earlier that day.
