nothing really informative, she could be there for ages or only years, the way l see it she was awakened by one of the earlier "guests" to the world, taken out from among the NPCs hard to say at this point but most possible, that person whomever it was, moved on, and yuri found out the truth about the world and started gathering peeps,
notice that there aren't any older guys in the resistance, don't know why but the pnly adult seems to be that guy from the guild, knowing why Yurippe disobeys Tenshi is obvious and understandable,

l personally wouldnt be able to accept such fate made by the GOD, l think this anime is directed at humans that folishly belive that god has some plan towards everyone, they shown a very nasty experience of having your sibling killed practicaly on your eyes because you couldn't find any treasures, what god would be so cruel to plan something like that ? and the answer that priests are able to give for such questions as why did god plan this ?

they have no answer, prooves that faith is something personal and not belonging to gods, l'm glad l'm atheist, l can only blame mistakes on humanity and myself, blaming bad things on an etity that doesn't exist is just plain stupid,

l think that if otanashi do help out yurippe to move on, he will have a chat with tenshi to change her strategy, to inform about what happened in the past, with their group, what is wrong with this messed up world, not to do the same thing she does, because the way she does it is hostile, and then he wil lask tenshi to help him move on, and most probably to be with yurippe when he is reborn, so she isn't alone again, everything also depends on what was otanashi's past.

Ah! Something just occurred to me after reading this!
(click to show/hide)Otonashi can't move on because he can't remember what he is actually rebelling against. The mechanism for moving on is making peace with your past, but how can you make peace with that which you cannot remember?
Yuri is also going to have a hard time moving on. It's not like they can re-create the circumstances of her death/downfall and help her cope with them... Unless she meets someone from her past who tells he it wasn't her fault, or something.
Actually! Wait! Maybe this is where Tenshi comes in! What if Tenshi was some incarnation of Yuri's siblings or parents, or something of that nature? Again, the idea is only half formed... I'm not sure where I'm going with this...

if she is thats anotehr cruel thing, Yuri shot her a number of times, l'm more likely to aggree tha tTenshi si going to change a bit her approach, shes just doing her job diligently, tough l highly doub't she knows who made her do it tough, l also don't think Yurippe is going to be a very easy target to persuade, it's not just stubbordiness that keeps her resolve, she gets it from her belif that God is an ass.

More like undeniable proof that God is a bitch. Are you telling me my life can be destroyed in the blink of an eye just because i was late in the combat training department?

My life has come close to disaster numerous times with alot of inevitable "dead ends" that were only averted because my family knows how to preform miracles.
Are you telling me just because some families that dont have the knowledge to survive get wiped out just like that!?

Havoc10K:
what chance had a little girl among the bandits that killed off her siblings ?
even if she had the knowledge, she wouldn't be able to stop those deaths.

Why do you have to look the same in the afterlife/battlefront as you did in real life? Tenshi can practically change her appearance at will anyway, generating digital blades out of nowhere etc.

On an unrelated note, I found myself listening to the recently released Girls Dead Monster insert song CD today, and I have to say, I now like this show even better... "Alchemy" is mega-<3

I was listening to it since Saturday or so.
I still think music in Angel Beats is somewhat weak(well not exactly - just below expectations) - it lacks any emotional impact, and when I heard each track for the first time in the anime it didn't leave any impression on me.
But after listening to it so far, I actually started liking the ED. Then during the weekend I left Crow Song and Alchemy on repeat while I was gaming(the first time I heard the insert single they felt like unimpressive, but polished and well done songs that would fit in the background), and after listening to them few dozen times, I actually grew really, really fond of them, especially Crow Song. Funny how that works.

Oh, and by the way - I think our theories about Yuri are mostly pointless, as there actually exists a prequel light novel of sorts that tells the story of the forming of SSS.
