none of the episodes were actualy centric on tenshi yet, l've yet to see more about her, l'm counting on Otanashi from now on to make contact with her more often, she felt happy when she was asked for her name, it showed, she is too lonely, if it was me l would be there already by her side trying to make her feel better, what Yuri did (throwing her off the Student Council) was very mean, and l think she realized that at the concert, but they needed the food tickets, Otanashi made a valid point near the end, so l'll be counting on this path from here on out.

I say Tenshi-centric because the episode only really served two purposes as I saw it. First, where it spent most of its time, it confirmed her human side in showing a range of emotions (concern, remorse, interest, happiness, surprise, and sadness) which also grounded the idea that we should feel sorry for her.  Second, it introduced the "second act" of the show in putting the characters it the worst position possible.

And I can see why Otonashi isn't by her side already. He doesn't know anything about this world, and if Yuri is not looking out for his best interests she has established an almost perfect trap.  He's been told by her not to get close to Tenshi because he'll be erased, but he's not 100% sure he can trust Yuri. I'd hedge my bets too and play along until I have evidence either way.  He hasn't seen the SSS really hurt anyone up until this point so he was safe, not doing real damage, and still able to gather intel about the situation.

And I agree with you, I think Otonashi and Tenshi will have more dealings.  I'm actually expecting her to help them out of detention.

The obvious Haruhi comparisons notwithstanding, I'm really enjoying the series... although I can't say it's actually a good one.

Is it wrong of me to want to have Tenshi win in the end, if the battles continue? They made her way too damn cute.

both sides are not wrong with their doings, l'd say they are both mistaken to one point, tenshi is diligently doing her best as a council member (former) the moment she was very sad seing her ticket flying away, l wanted to stand behind her and hug her gently :]

l don't see any way of her being on the bad side, yuri is simply taking revenge and at the same time gather information critical for her only, the show is heading nicely forward, slowly revealing the truth, l want o see another ep right now ;]

...and with episode 6 Tenshi helps out SSS.
Let me quote myself:
I think Tenshi's not going to be their enemy for too long. Just a hunch.
Anyway, 6 was... decent, but only because Tenshi got a tiny little bit of character development.
Other than that, pretty damn bad. New student council president(whose name by now I managed to forget) is suddenly dropped into plot, given retarded superpowers(no, seriously, that shit with hypnotizing people to allow them to pass was so stupid I don't know what to say), then defeated by the power of a hug and some screaming.
I kinda liked resolving most of the battle behind the scenes, but I know people will complain about it. But focusing the narrative on Tenshi and Otonashit worked quite well in my opinion.
All in all the episode was... Stupid. It brings a bunch of plot holes and logic fallacies into view, and either they'll get explained, or the show will suffer greatly.

l aggree with most of it being stupide except the parts with Tenshi and Yurippe being in a state seemingly AFTER RAPE, l mean her clothes lol the ywere all torn in many places, and she was pretty neat down, seriously, was that necessary ?
that was the worst possible fanservice l seen in a long time.

as for Tenshi, l really enjoyed all parts of the episode having her in it, starting from the classroom where she decided to
(click to show/hide)
through the cell where she showed
(click to show/hide)

the episode on the SSS was rather boring, altough l had a bit of fear that Yuri would warp out, but l think the entire focus on Tenshi was very nice, more of info on Tenshi, or Tachibana more like, l think in this ep Yuri realized a lot of stuff about Tenshi, l'm sure their relations will improve a bit.

but damn she quickly accepted the offer :]

Otonashi learned quite a bit about her, l wonder if he will share it :]

Dammit Key! You make me laugh my pants off then crash it all down with sadness for poor Tenshi in a matter of 10mins.

Most will probably go with either Mazui (because they're fast) or Static Subs (because of the group's reputation). I myself take UTW's releases.

Anyway, episode 6 started good and ended in disaster.

The hypnotism bit felt a bit out of place, not to mention the guy's motive for doing all that.

Nice development on Tenshi's character, though.

I'm really loving this series so far. I'm getting Mazui's each week but replacing them with Static's when they release them. SS isn't too far behind at the moment. SS also uses color specific subtitles for each character if you like that kind of thing  :)

Episode 6 just seemed rushed to me and it didn't seem to add much to the story. The whole storyline of the series seems to be going at a very fast pace. Though I did like the dramatic change in atmosphere when they got out the the cell but then it seemed they ran out of time and rapped it up.

It did seem a little rushed. Almost like a 13 ep series. Though, Angel beats is going to have 23 eps. Likely they're just trying to flesh out the characters a bit before entrenching us in the actual plot/story...
