For heaven's sake, it isn't even a clear harem yet!

I wonder if there will even be a harem. It'll be a first for key if not. My first impression so far, is a Haruhi/Clannad mashup. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. That will likely change though, over the course of the next couple episodes as they flesh out the characters.

l think death and being erased are two different things in overall, when you die you die, your whatever hapens afterlife is just that, but when youre erased, fuck knows what happens, like they said, if it's a cycle you even might be revived as a worm thats going to die in a birds peck, the idea is l think that whever gets caught by that angel will be erased, if so happens you might expect some drama about that, l hope this helps clear out the confusion.

TK (C'mon-let's-dance!) might be one of the greatest anime characters of all time (and, "SO DELICIOUS").
tl;dr, I was looking forward to this series a lot, and I'm liking it more and more the more I see, but it still has room for improvement and needs to come into its own identity.

They are doing something right with TK, he automatically stood out and he kind of reminds me of a fighting game character the way his body shifts and gestures. The series probably will come into its own, I also do want to know more about the SSS members as the group does seem rather interesting.

They pretty much said you have to follow the pattern of the NPCs to get erased (unless you mean that is getting caught). Main char guy (his name escapes me) got caught right when he woke up and walked up to her.  And I got the impression that Yuri spoke with Angel a few times from the discussion on the rooftop, so she probably knows a lot more than she's telling him up front.

Oh, and something that bugs me about that discussion:  How long has Class 3S (I think that's what they called themselves) been fighting that Yuri knows that the teachers, students, and dead people don't age in that world?  I can't help that feel he should have come right out with that question, but I can forgive him given the circumstances.  Maybe I'm reading too far into it and trying to find plot points where there aren't any.

Anyhow, I dug the first episode. I thought it did exactly what it needed to in that I want to watch the next few eps to see how it develops.  I'm hoping they do it right.

How great would it be if Yuri turns out to be the devil, and she's keeping all these other kids from going into heaven or something like that.  That would be a nice twist from Key.

l dunno how long she fights, but since they are dead, it doesn't reallly matter, time really doesn't exist when youre dead l think.

My impression was that this has been going on for a long time, but not with the same group of people. If you've seen GANTZ, you'll understand what I mean.

This sounds plausible. It's probably not exactly this scenario, but I won't be surprised if something like that ends up being the case.

Since they talked about a mysterious god and whether or not he exists i say Haruhi appears out of nowhere in the last episode and erases everyone!

I watched a live stream from Japan, of course I couldn't understand what they were saying, but it wasn't too hard to find out what was going on(what with Key's obvious body language, facial expressions and musical score). I enjoyed it, even though it definitely gave an "over-familiar" vibe off. I liked the return of the Counter-Combo, thought not as funny as when Tomoyo did it. I'll watch an English dub soon and come back with a more in-depth reaction to the first episode, but as it stands right now, it's at least a series I want to follow.

Yeah, it was pretty.  Even though the super-out-of-place music number turned me off, I'm definitely continuing this show, if only for TK.

Well it certainly has a lot of action and things going on for one episode which is probably what people like. My only problem with it is that it felt like there was a little too much going on and that they were pacing things way too fast and untidy like just so they could grab people's interest. Hopefully the rest of the series will be played out a little more masterfully than this first episode. It still should be a decent watch ether way.

Actually, I am also worried about the pacing of the series, but in a slightly different way. The first ep had to cram a lot in to expose what the series is about, so they needed to have the fight scene and the concert scene and the slapstick hit-counter and all that, but I'm worried that later episodes might be boring in comparison if they are too simple or focus too much on one element.
I mean, it wouldn't be good if the next episode was all talking and jokes like the middle third of this episode was. I'm sure it will reach a favorable equilibrium at some point, though, and then of course, being a Key show, they'll pull the rug out from under you in a completely predictable way, and you will fall nonetheless.
