If you have ever seen a ladies saddle you should fathom how uncomfortable riding a horse can be with a skirt. But since men nowadays rarely ride horses anymore, it makes perfect sense to go back to the old functional and comfortable way of wearing skirts.

yeah, okey Morgia. Your explanation suits better regarding the origins and all.

@AceHigh, a word of caution, don't let her bite into your ass, only do things you can proudly share with your friends. :D

And a vampiric ass isn't one of those?
But in all seriousness... does this not then bring on a new age of flashers by regiving men the social right to wear skirts? Trenchcoats would be totally lost in the process! Sorta

Truer words have never been spoken. Having said that, you will never catch me wearing one of these.

nah... trenchcoats will never get lost in that process, since it's one of the only garments where you can be completely naked underneath and flash it all in one blow - flashing from a skirt would only reveal the crotch-area and therefore ruin half of the fun
...that said - there are really less flashers out there than the media makes us want to believe.
Plus... I think most women are just overly sensitive about that... imo there is nothing scary about a flasher at all... it's all just a little skin and meat... and flashers are usually not rapists... so completely harmless ^^
plus: not only kilts look good... here are a few examples of longer models:
