After leeching I changed names and want to seed

(1/1)

sapsa:
The topic is a short version of this:

First of all I wanted to thank old Box aka New BakaBT for great quality controler!

Im trying to sort my anime/movies (its 2TB) so its alot of work, and im trying to standardization (sorry if i used this word wrong - english aint my native lang) the name of files like this: crc is in [...] or (...), name of group that sub/rip is in [...] and its on begging of file name, aditional info of codecs/quality is in (...) etc. I know that I can reseed something that I only change name of folder that it's stored in, but if I change name of a file (not adding or deleting any, just changing name) can I reseed it somehow using Baka torrent files? So I can have sorted animes and still seed them to other ?

Im thinking about something working like proxy/redirections ?! between TorrentClient (utorrent) and files on HDD - something that will link "old" name, to "new" name of file?

Hope I made it clear, and thanks for replay

redirections are a huge problem if you are using a windows OS - your only feasible option would be to use the relocate feature in utorrent (rightclick on file -> relocate) - but you would have to redirect every file individually.

sapsa:
Dont relocate option need to have same names of files like in orginal torrent?
So you saying using Sybolic? Links in Linux would workd? i think there could be a port of that for Windows ? - if i would make link after link from hand i would do it so its not problem.

no, only "Set Download location..." requires the same filenames, relocate can point to any hash-identical file anywhere.

yes

doubt it

then you got your solution right in utorrent ;)

edit: is it the last option when i click on file in torrent ? when torrent is stoped?  if so then sorry but i got my lang version and its was translated like "move file" not relocate ;)

YOU MADE MY DAY ;) - i can now start reseeding my collection when I will sort them all <3 thanks ^_^
