Anyone else following this show by Gainax? It's definitely not your usual run of the mill show from them.

I watched the first ep and will certainly be following the show. It kinda reminded me of Ichigo Mashimaro or Yotsuba&!. If you're a fan of either, you should check this out.

It looks like Commie is subbing this as well.

However, whenever I hover over the download link, I feel an ominous chill that compels me away. I'm not really sure if I should watch this or not.

Probably give another episode or two a try, don't see this going into a dark end though, not that I wouldn't want it or anything.

I won't discourage anyone from seeing it, but you have to be an Ichigo Mashimaro or Yotsuba&! fan to like this type of show.

If you hated either of those, this definitely isn't the show for you.

Just want to set the proper expectations. This isn't your normal Gainax show.

I saw this in the lineup and read a few of the manga. I actually really enjoyed it. I hope the series doesn't trip anywhere.

It's too bad more established groups aren't subbing this. I've really enjoyed it so far, but the most recent one wasn't too great.

Vuze, it's not about lolis really, it's really funny tbh, and the romance plot isn;t between the little doods, it's just the comedy area there ;] it's pretty much very funny ;]

just try the first 3 eps and tell me you didn't laugh a lot ;]

Yeah has some funny stuff in it despite its appearance, the show airs late at night in Japan from what I have heard so they are obviously targeting an adult audience, Plus Gainax references, I expect more to follow.

My first impression of the animation style was "Potemayo goes to school". Haven't checked it out yet, but if it's being compared to Ichigo Mashimaro or Yostuba& in terms of style, then I might as well download an episode or two.

It definitely has a Yostuba& vibe to it.
So far, (in my opinion) it hasn't lived up to either's humor level, it's still of similar style. If you liked both of those (the manga and show), you'd probably like this. I haven't dropped it yet, and I'm pretty finicky.

Yotsuba&! will one day be viewed as a transcendent work - if you go in expecting the same of this, you'll be sorely disappointed. It's still very much worth watching though.
