Sony is urghh!!!!

More important than the drivers is the call. I'm of the opinion that things break, but when they do, whats important is how its fixed. When tech support is like that, it really gets under my skin.

mhm, Gotta love those out-sourced tech support people too... dont know crap, and they bounce you between lines. happened when i needed my phone replaced. went through about 12 different people for 8 hours. then i finally asked to speak to manager. and got the $50 replacement handset fee waived, along with a newer model version of the phone -.-. they only do that to shut u up :/

I've never had that sort of luck. The worst thing that they can do is say that the fault lies else where when its obvious that its their product that fucked up.
"My monitor caught flame"
"Hmm, what brand of speakers do you have"
"...kipsch"
"ah, thats the problem. We've had many customer's whose speakers resulted in a short in the monitor thus causing they to catch fire, or in some cases even explode. You should feel lucky."

If you're using Windows, try "Windows Update"; they sometimes have drivers for some of the components.
Also, you should've gotten a recovery CD with the purchase of the laptop.
Try googling and see if you can find an ISO of that CD somewhere. Worth a try.
