Gunslinger Girl on BD

Way to exercise pre-emptive blind judgment there. Again it's been awhile, but I remember the dub as being pretty good. There's no Japanese names to stumble over, no Japanese jokes to write around, and no Japanese cultural concepts to localize. So thanks to the nature of the show, Gunslinger Girl's dub has the advantage of avoiding several common dub pitfalls.

Yeah, Japanese is always better to me, but the dubs for GG were actually very good.

@zalis: The Eurek Seven BD thing was just my extremely wishful thinking for full reanimation to make HD lol.

Il Teatrino was one of the worst anime I've ever seen.  It was actually quite painful to watch.

The good thing about it was that the long pause between Triad dropping it and someone else picking it up got me to start reading the manga, which is really good (at least for a while; it starts getting a little repetitive in the last few chapters).  If you like GSG, you should really check it out.

Havoc10K:
l have to say it, that sadly, no matter what good VA in dubs is (english dubs that is) l simply hate them by nature, dunno why.

I don't have a problem with the second season.  People are far too judgemental IMHO.   It wasn't done by the same studio, and had nowhere near the budget the first season had.  Blame whoever arranged for that to happen instead.   The only problem I have with the second season is that it is slow in the beginning, and only picks up towards the middle / end.

The ending was quite satisfying,  and if anyone thinks that its a "happy ending" as they are typically known, they likely have a screw loose..  The OVA episodes on the other hand, carry a far more lighthearted tone.
