Mass Effect 2

If you're holding off until Mass Effect 2 comes out on PS3, it will come with these DLC for free.  Well, the total package will be 60 dollars, most likely.

Zaeed and Firewalker are for free. Shadow is quite good and you can't start the DLC early as you have to be first on Illium to start it. Kasumi and Overlord cost some €. Overlord is actually only something for you if you have read the books and knows a bit about the ME universe as you then have some A-ha effects when they are talking about some things. Kasumi, well she can be quite helpful but as with all members she is not suited for every mission. Will only prolong the fights (at least on Insanity) when fighting against mobs that have for example armor (Kasumi has no abilities that are effective against it). Her loyalty mission is nice to have.

The biggest question with those characters is, will they be taken with you to ME3?

I sure hope Kasumi will be with me, but that is a slim hope, I suppose the current team would dissolve for a while to do some stuff with their superiors/racial commanders (Garrus,Mordin,Grunt,Samara) I personally don't see the game without Garrus, I sure hope Ashley would come to her senses, the game could use her again, I mean, she was a really good fighter, Can't seem to see this game without Tali, she is a must have with all her cool responses, I really enjoyed all the talks with her, her voice actress is perfect for her, I won't miss Zaeed, Miranda and Jacob if they leave, the Hamster on a coffee must stay, the game would lose too much without him :D

I liked Thane when I was on missions with him and Legion/Garrus, since I'm an Infiltrator, 3 targets for Sniping, short battles, Tali was perfect with Grunt or Jack, with Shotguns, waiting in front of me in cover, when the geth comes too close (Geth Hunters were a Pain sometimes) Poof, and no geth :) and if Jack felt like it, Shockwave was so awesome :)

I also liked Miranda's SLAM ability, dealt pretty awesome damage when lifting and slamming on the ground, but Samara's REAVE, that was awesome against the Shadow Broker, so damn useful, that ability was so great I used it myself cuz the damage it allowed to deal was seriously hurting mobs :)

I lubz Kasumi in combat.  Everytime I hear "going silent," I get all giddy and happy.

<edit> Oh and I have all the DLC, but I just started the game so no idea how good each may be. *shrug*

Too bad almost all the powers targetted at enemies are useless in the game with higher difficulties(don't know where the line goes since only played on insanity) since they don't work on anything when it matters. When their shields are out they die from one sniper shot anyways. For husks they rock though, shoot a little at each and FLY they go, especially lovely because husks die the second their feet lose ground contact.
