I finished ME2 few days ago (someone here said it was "wow" game).

About EFI thing, I was thinking you can do anything after, and it all ends when you USE EFI ;)

(click to show/hide)

ME2 didn't have kick-ass story like ME1, like the thing with Citadel ;), but I liked the part with team mate
(click to show/hide)

The Buy Upgrade - then Buy it again so you can use it was little retarded but the Scan thing on Plantes was more fun than driving on planet.

Summary: all the good things made the bad things less important, and I had good time with this game, sadly I didnt put much effort in romance with Miranda/Talia so I end up without Romance Scene. Only 2 members died at end (I dont miss them, never used them anyway):

They did change not being able to make your companions wear 234324 different outfits I guess, but they do at least have an alternate one after their loyalty mission or maybe more if you have the DLC (I think?). But, your armor didn't really have as much diversity either, although... it was much nicer being able to totally dye the armor however you want. I didn't like any of the non-Onyx armors anyways, especially the heavy ones cause they looked all huge and weird...

I did like being able to slap omni-gel on everything too, cause those mini-games are retarded, in both games. The first one, it was impossible for me to do most the time, so I just had to give myself a ton of omni-gel with console and just do it that way. The second one.... well... I have to just grit my teeth and do them, or not, which sucks. At least with the two upgrades they aren't very hard... just seems like a waste of time to have to spend 15-30 seconds doing some stupid mini-game for like 900-15000 credits when it's so easy to just give myself like 500k with the editor. Kinda forced to do it for the upgrades though...

Being half-naked and going to battle is so realistic, especially in space ::)

LOL You weren't able to solve the mini games in both games but paid for it and ini hacked to get money?! I'm slowly understanding why BW "streamlined" ME2...

sapsa, wasn't it obvious? Didn't you see the hologram of Harbinger or didn't you follow the conversations/dialogues?

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

I can agree that a lot of ME1 elements were a lot better, if they applied it to ME2 along with what was great about ME2 it would be difficult to make a better game in ME3, I sure hope BW will not do MP in ME3, that will kill the game outright.

About tiff complaining about the game being hard, well i don't suppose a girl that is active socially (has many friends and is actively interacting with them) would be playing a lot of games and got used to shifting controls and many weird stuff most of us are used to and can go on with ease.

(and if she isn't interacting with her friends while looking the way she is, I dare to say, i'm gonna spank her !)

I believe that her point of view as a very casual player is most important, Tiff indeed say the game is hard, but she also said she enjoyed it, that said, if the game is hard but enjoyable it's been done very well, and I hope she will enjoy many other games that she can play whenever she feels like.

I do hope the third installment will be even better, and will provide a little bit more hours of gameplay.

Not rely, I tried to read/hear all the dialogs, but sometimes I had to skip/disable audio - and forgot to enable subtitles ;P but still I not always understand all of dialogs ;)

PS3 version just came out - that's supposed to have all the dlc and run on the ME3 engine.

And how could I forget - the story in ME1 kicked the SHIT out of ME2's "story."

I use quotations around the word story, because 95% of the game felt like it was me assembling my party, about to undertake some awesome epic mission like in ME1....then the game ended.

the final mission is actually gathering commandos and kicking some soviet ass, you actually expected to fight a horde of reapers now ?

wait a few months for ME3, and screenshot the sign saying it's on ME3 engine, I do want to see that.

Well, I do have another complaint... Male Shepard has a piss poor voice actor. Female Shepard actually has emotions and actually sounds like she's acting and doing a good job. The male one just has the same monotone voice for everything like all he did was just read the lines and that's it.

yeah that is the known issue with the game, we are discussing this change for ME3, a grand majority of the players do complain about mimics and voice of male shepard, when he smiles he totally freaks people out, i'm seriously scared when he smiles, this is wrong, it's like they are forcing Grumpy to smile and the whole world screams when he tries, Terrible animation and VA is bad,

female has animation issues as well, but at the very least her VA is great, I love it when I am renegade as female, it is so badass you can feel it :)

Yeah, like... "Do I look like a looter to you?" She actually has attitude and inflections... The male is just so monotone and almost robotic... ugh I can't even stand to go through an entire playthrough with the male.

I've done the female several times now, but... it sucks you can't romance Tali, Jack or Miranda as a female Shepard (yuriii!)... You just get Liara (if you romanced her in ME1) and Kelly. I guess you could romance Garrus, since he has a good VA and nice personality, but... yeah, I dunno. I don't think I'd do a Turian. Especially with the..... dangers... And well, Thane's practically a lizard and he's dying in a year anyways. Besides, then you'd probably get conned into looking after that kid of his, even though he is an adult... Not even remotely interested in Jacob... So yeah, icky romance options for female Shep. Oh well....

doing the game as male only for Tali, doing the game as female, cuz it kicks ass, if Tali could be done as Female shep, i would stay as my Renegade, i only did her Loyalty mission as Paragon, cuz I can't be mean to her, simple as that.

Actually.... The true Renegade option on Tali's loyalty quest is the nicest one to her.

oh yeah I forgot about that renegade option, and I did take it, it was like :
A
A
B

Personally, I would just take out the assault riffle out and shoot them down, honestly, that was so much bullshit I could barely hold myself back from killing the TV :P

Politics, I hate them even in games :P

Tali loyalty mission is kickass as a renegade, even better if you bring legion on board. Suck it you bloody morons! ;D

THIS!
Totally sucked playing female Shep in the second for romances. At least we had Kaidan and Liara in the first. Now we have, what? A bloody fanboy, a lizard looking for a pity relationship and a guy who has serious daddy issues and is a total jackass.

Don't be touching my Tali you freaks, she's not gay, she's my Rheia's most trusted friend!
And it'd be totally akward if it turned out she was gay with Rheia having done Liara in the first already.  :P

PS. Yeah, male shepard is pretty horrible, I played him for like 5 minutes and went all, I can't take this shit anymore. Back to another fem.

Because we can!

Well, I like Tali the way she is cuz she is sweet, if they made an Anime out of this game, I would watch it 40 times, just for Tali :D
her VA is fitting this girl's personality like nothing I seen thus far, playing Male only for Tali is the only choice, anything else is not needed, hell I even played the game so that only me and Tali stayed alive hahahah,
YES MIRANDA DEAD AS WELL !!!
"Or does Cerberus let you whore around in that suit?" damn epic !!!

it's annoying me as hell, I just want to put a bullet in her, Jack is fun, Tiff pointed out the funniest thing about her, with Renegade options she does say that, it's so sweet, as Male shepard I let that moron in the Jack's Loyalty mission live, as Female, i let him DIE !!!!

It's funny how we love Renegade so much, because the game lets us be unforgivable, oh the humor of mankind is so sweet :D

that said, gonna make another playthrough on my Female HAHAH!

Not like the Citadel Council is any better. They get proof Sovereign is real then just fancily dismiss it as a joke and call you crazy. The jerks...

The way I saw it though was...

Speaking of the Geth decision..... What did you guys decide to do on Legion's loyalty quest, and why?

(click to show/hide)

Oh and what decisions did you guys make at the very end of ME2?

Tiff, in ME1 I saved the council on Male shep, simply cuz since Tali will be in ME3 I want to get on with her, if not, I will just kill anything, simple,
Male shep is my main so I Saved the council, reprogrammed the Geth, and flushed the base and destroyed it, why ?

Tali roxorz everyone who plays this game I know agrees on that. She is just so amazing. One guy I know even replayed ME1 to not romance anyone to get Tali only in the second.  ;D

My Rheia was a Cold blooded bitch. Pretty much like I have a tendency to be at times. Be infinitely kind to those close to you and infinitely cruel to everyone else. Add to that strategic thinking and some psychology and we get a nice tactical leader.
She was also a pro humanist. And she hates Cerberus more than anyone else in the whole universe, she was the (almost) sole survivor of the Cerberus thresher maw tests on Akuze. Earthborn, infiltrator. Prefers tactical precision strikes to cripple the enemy. This made the whole relationship with cerberus a very interesting idea. She recognises them as the option she needs, she likes their style and agrees to part of their agenda but she hates them to the core.

also, if you are really a Cerberus Hater as a character, doing that just lost your point there :D
