uTorrent will not let me seed.

It just means you are not connected to peers/leechers, this happens usually when there are a lot of seeders but no leechers on a specific torrent.

Indeed, like pds1337 wrote, it seems that most
of the torrents you have downloaded/seeded
have very few leechers. Find the ones that
actually have more than one or two leechers
and seed them. (Blood+ have 15 right now for
example.)

If you were so skilled with uTorrent, or torrents in general, you should know that you should be limiting your upload speed to approximately 75-80% of your theoretical maximum upload.

Just throwing that out there.

Limiting upload speed doesn't have anything to do with utorrent not seeding anything.

Limiting upload speed doesn't have anything to do with utorrent not seeding anything.

But it does have to do with a claimed expertise with bittorrent clients.

Turning on protocol encryption sounds inefficient, but it resolved my problem.  I suggest turning it or at least make it optional.  This one was tricky to troubleshoot because some ISPs don't care about P2P traffic all that much and seeding non-baka bt torrents was going swell.  But some peers may not be as fortunate and have to use other means getting around the potential problems of throttling.  When the number of peers dwindle and appear from places I haven't even heard of before, this can make a big difference in one's potential capability of seeding.

If this is not in the FAQ or wiki for beginners, this might be a nice hint.

 See if your ISP is throttling you

Some ISPs actively throttle Bittorrent traffic. Find out if your ISP does so. There are several online services, such as Glasnost, that allow you to do so.

If your ISP throttles you, try enabling Protocol Encryption in your torrent client settings.

Forced Protocol Encryption is inefficient, but if you allow both ways this should solve most of your seeding problems.
