I gave up on drawing, didn't have the motivation to do it daily and don't have enough talent lol

Last thing I made was some years back for on of our parties:

Drew -> scan -> trace -> digitaly colored

Here are some of my chibi pieces from a few years back (2003) ... please note that the quality of the shot are bad cos I didn't have any type of scanner and used my web cam or digital camera for the shots.

Ink over penciled drawing on 2 by 3 inch paper ... I prefer to work on small scale paper.

Here's some of my stuff. Got a fair few more to post (invaded my HD for old art, lol)

Bare in mind that these were all drawn between 4 to 10 years ago (so between the ages of 9 to 15)

WARNING! Very image heavy!

Love the realistic eye you have there!!!!!!!!

I remember I used to draw stuff in lessons, but usually it was in these little note book and never had room for everything so I used to draw parts of something and when I was younger all I used to draw were eyes :D

These are the only types of vectors I've done. I'm not finished, but it's pretty damn hard.

lol that's awesome. Should have saved it as .png or high quality .jpg though. Lots and lots of pixelation on those bright colors.

Yeah,  I wasn't as well knowledgeable then as I am now.

I only wish I still had the Illustrator files  :'(

Some sketches:

I don't really color in my drawings. I should probably learn how to use this Vector thing you talk about... I'll google it later, but in the meantime, tips and advice will be appreciated.

I am probably going to start a new wallpaper/vector soon.

But I have not yet decided on the center piece. My last few have been from screenshots, leaving a lot of the detail work to be done by myself. Im going to try something new and use a scan with more detail already on it to work with. So I can focus on the background before I burn out on the idea.

Here are the 4 I have in mind so far.

http://img35.imageshack.us/i/animepaperscanstouhouma.jpg/
I would probably only vector the girl on the right, then keep the warm tone for a background. Probably another sunset.

http://img63.imageshack.us/i/animepaperscanstouhouma.jpg/
I have no idea what I would do for a background for this one. But I like the girl, and the detail is very good in this scan. I think it would look great vectored.

toradora, need i say more? I would keep with the night sky, and color this one in much more cool colors to keep the sad tone in it.

She is simply cute, enough said. I am leaning more towards this one just because I really like the girl.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Pretty much everything harpy said.
Love the eye there, really awesome work.
I have never been much of a drawer but I scribbled something when I was bored on lessons. Don't have any of those though. I do have some of my drawings I did while in the army though.

Seems there was one older one too, had my tortoise act as a model for this one. She was very compliant. No objections and she had the patience to stay still for me. Or maybe she just liked to bask in the sun. Anyways, stayed still. :P

I like how you have drawn the wings on one of them. I always had problems with wings. I guess I was always to lazy to get it right :D

Wings aren't that hard. Something I can do since I used to draw a lot of birds in upper grade.
That and studying how they are drawn by others. Sometimes I draw something just to try how things are drawn.
The praying woman is one such thing. I wanted to try to draw a praying person. Took me a lot of time watching my hands and into a mirror.

I can't draw feet. Absolutely no go. So I quess I should study that next. Haven't touched a pen in a while though.
If I do I'll make sure to remember about this.

feet are impossible for me too.

When ever i drew something with a full body i always tried to find an excuse not to draw the feet lol.

I usually use Adobe Illustrator, but Photoshop works as well.   Just grab the pen tool and start having fun ^_^
