The comment about iboobs or redundant apps etc. being how Steve Jobs controls Apple. I mean come on... that's just being stupid about a certain qc function. I dislike Apple just as much as the next guy and even I think that's being out of line.

They can do whatever they like with their distribution channel, whether it's prohibiting graphic content or competing apps. I'm just saying that if you buy into Apple, it's your only distribution channel. Just like a game console, though perhaps less now than before.

As long as they have the market share, they'll have developers. But they won't have the developers that can't afford to be shut down or the developers capable of expanding the limits of the device, not to mention the developers who can't be arsed to work in their proprietary platform.

Might as well complain that gaming consoles are the same, no? I dont understand the correlation here.

Because your claim was that even tho it uses little resources, having a lot of it (Like multiple tabs) will kill the battery. My answer illustrated that it is not the case. So what is your definition of "real flash" that you commonly see?

If your answer is "Flash games" then just like any other application, it will use the CPU. A sudoku flash game will use 0 resources while you're thinking, a side scroller takes more power but then again, it's an actively running game.

Adobe gives up on bringing Flash to Apples i-cum products

Good news -lol- Apple (and loser developers using Adobe CS to dev for the iphone/pad ) just got punched in the eye, in my opinion at least.

Exactly why I won't even touch it.   It's potentially highly useful @ where I work, and I could put it to huge time-saving use.   Why can't I use it?   Because I can't do my own work on it.   That's why.   I'm not touching it.

As shitty as PocketPC might sound to you - they're a big success in certain channels - say - the applications I'd like to put iPad to work in.   Part of the reason - all you needed to do for PocketPC dev was - get a compiler, and write your apps.

Only problem I had doing work on PPC - was the fact that it was so small.  It was too small to be really useful.
