An odd dream.

I've never had sleep paralysis but i have had the sensation that im "falling" several times. followed by a reflexive jolt which usually leads to me hitting my head.

I was dreaming but the plot and characters weren't very good so I decided to just wake up instead of finishing it.

If you're really interested in understanding a little bit more about dreams, may I suggest you read A Man And His Symbols. It summarizes Carl G. Jung theory of the sub-conscious. In the book, stories from religion, mythology, folklore, and shaman tales are compared to dreams and the findings are very controversial, but interesting and worth the read.  Till this day no one really knows what is the sub-conscious, or if it has any purpose, or if it even exist.

Comedian, Joe Rogan, talks about dreams and a drug called DMT and how dreams are like a self induced hallucination that is needed for healthy a mind. Someone also once said, fantasy is the only thing that helps us cope with reality. Kind of ironic but I think it make sense.

This is my favorite topic to read about considering all the weird dream and nightmare that I have. Maybe I'll write them here someday, if anyone cares to read it....

I'll say it again. He was simply having a dream of a girl, his dream ended but instead of fully waking up he entered into Sleep Paralysis and saw the dark figure during it.

Science is amazing, what it has been able to discover and how it has enlightened the masses, but what science believed two hundred years ago (or even fifty) isn't what is necessarily believed by science today. In another two hundred (or even fifty) years our perception of the universe may be even more accurate and much different.

While I can't say for sure that I heard my wife scream in my dream or after I awoke. I woke up with a jarring pain and the feeling that someone had just grabbed my left arm with all of their might and the sound of my wife's scream echoing through my head.

It was 2AM and my wife (who normally sleeps on my left side) of course wasn't there. She was in the hospital where she had been for the past month, in a coma. I shrugged it off and went back to sleep.

I left fairly early the next day. I had to go out of town on business. My folks were visiting from out of town to watch the kids. I had seen my wife the day before at the hospital and she seemed like she was improving. She had spent almost as much time in the hospital as out of it for the past three years, so I didn't think a lot about it, except my whole left arm was totally numb.

I was on the road when I got the call from the hospital and they said that there had been a turn for the worst and that I should come back. So I turned around and went back to the hospital.

They had moved her to an isolated area of ICU and I sat there and held her hand. About 10 minutes after I got there she passed away. It was then that the doctor told me that she had suffered a stroke in the middle of the night, probably around 2am. They said that basically she had be brain dead from that point on and it just took a few hours for her body to catch up.

My arm was numb to the point that you could stick a needle in it and I wouldn't feel it, for the next six months.

It's been almost eight years since then, but I know that my wife reached for me when she was in pain and waited for me, to say good-bye. We are more than just conscious beings, what we are? That's up to each individual to decide and discover.

A Man And His Symbols

Ive always been fascinated by dreams.

isnt it usually bad if your consistently remembering your dreams as its usually a sign that your not getting proper rest. Since normally remember a dream is quite reliant on you being disturbed during the dream and the sequence of you dreaming being interrupted.

That could be true, usually when I remember a nightmare I am jolted awake by it. But sometimes I remember a good dream and slowly drift back to reality. I dont really know when I stop dreaming and when I start just imagining the rest of it. It blurs together until I notice I'm awake.

I'm more inclined to believe in the "Life Stream" similar to that in FFVII. I mean, why should external world get all the fun. alternate form within dimension seems more fun. Fuck that alternate dimension shit.
