An odd dream.
« on: January 27, 2010, 07:17:07 PM »
I have many weird dreams. I remember what I dream almost every night. But last night was really strange.

It was a normal dream for the most part, I was talking with a girl in a school setting, when out of no where she said. "I think there is someone that needs to talk to you."

Then I found my self in that weird state where you are half asleep and half awake in my bed. I could hear a strange noise but could not make out what it was. Then I saw a very dark figure lean over in front of my face so that all i could see what his head. I could see his lips moving but could not understand what he was saying. It scared me, and jolted me awake. When I got up to go to the bathroom I got some serious chills as I moved through the area where he would have been.

I dont believe in ghost's, not since I was a little kid. But man this was creepy, Im sure it was just my dream carrying over since it was so vivid. But then that raises the question of what am I trying to tell myself?

Some people will say that it was a spirit that was trying to talk to you. Other will say it was a dream. The question is did you try to move or scream but couldn't? Alot of people believe when you are awake but can't move or scream a spirit (or demon in some cultures) is trying to take over your body.

Sounds like the work of the devil. You need Jesus in your life.

I had a weird dream last night too.

My best friend came for a visit. The guy is chinese and works for the U.S. army as a torturer (dental assistant). Well he came and we had a nice chat, then we visited a cemetery that had a tombstone that said his name. I haven't talked to this guy for several years but we made a promise that we'd be BFF's forever. That's all I remember, but now I'm worried.

Your talking to an agnostic here. I know it's not real, but just the fact that my subconscious thought about it worries me. Means that some part of my psyche expects him not to survive the military life.

I guess you can say I'm more worried about my own mental well being than him.

That's funny because I don't believe in jesus christ as a savor. But my favorite musical is Jesus Christ Superstar.

Don't get me wrong, I do believe jesus existed, just not that he was connected to a higher power.

Jesta23, I recommend you keep your feet away from the edge of your bed when you go to sleep. Otherwise you might wake up without a soul.  :(

Wear about a dozen rosaries and toss some salt around just to be safe.

I dreamt i was in a ice filled landscape, there was a cruise ship passing trough this narrow ravine. Kurosu was waving out towards someone from Cross+Channel which was Kiri. She multi-hopped between the walls on the narrow passage and caught up to the boat.
Did you know Satan was supposedly gods RIGHT HAND MAN, not his left. Blows your theory out of the water now doesn't it.

Dream with the girl was just a dream, but what you experienced later as half sleep/half awake is known as sleep paralysis, it's normal during sleep paralysis to feel an overall sense of fear and seeing scary illusions.

"Sometimes, there's a moment before you wake where you become aware of the world around you.
You may think you can fly... but you better not try it" - Astral Projection (^_^)

Pretty sure you were just hallucinating. (That's normal :P)

I usually end up remembering my dreams as well... only it's been horrible for me the past few weeks due to me having a slight case of insomnia and overall boredom with my regular life (I really don't do much...).

I've mixed up my dreams with the real world plenty of times now...  (Pretty much when I'll be talking to someone... I'll stop myself and say, "Haven't I already told you this?"  "Uh... no... I haven't seen you in a few days" "... Oh... right...  Anyways")

~

EDIT: I've also had a dream where I was arrested... the rest of the dream was me sitting in the back of the police car... I woke up when we made it to the Station.  My first thought was, "Really!?!? Did I really just dream a car ride?!?!"

I remember posting a retarded dream I had some time ago, so I did a search for "Chris Farley" and found it.  ::)

That being said, this thread should be continued/merged here.

You're telling yourself that anime scenarios where hot girls lean over to stare at you while sleeping is great dream material.

However, reality jolts into a "nightmare" when you realize that shit like this doesn't occur in real life. (And yes, it's crai tiem.)

Sounds like the work of the devil. You need Jesus in your life.

Your talking to an agnostic here. I know it's not real

Wouldn't agnostics think that people cannot know whether supernatural entities exist or not?

isnt it usually bad if your consistently remembering your dreams as its usually a sign that your not getting proper rest. Since normally remember a dream is quite reliant on you being disturbed during the dream and the sequence of you dreaming being interrupted.

Also if memory serves discovery channel said that dreaming is one of the things the mind does to occupy you and keep you relaxed since once you hit your REM(rapid eye movement) state of sleep your body is more or less doing maintenance.

Which is how sometimes people wake up in the middle of the night and CANT MOVE.

All related.

depends on what kind of agnostic you are. There's a wide range of us. Me, I say ghostly entities don't exist. But also think that you can't prove there is a god, but also can't disprove it.

I'll say it again. He was simply having a dream of a girl, his dream ended but instead of fully waking up he entered into Sleep Paralysis and saw the dark figure during it.

I get those too sometimes, and I hate it when it happens. :-\
