Just get Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. If you get 32-bit, it won't be able to use all four gigs of RAM. Professional and Ultimate don't offer anything you'll ever use.

Solid state drives use flash memory instead of spinner platters. They're very fast. They're also outrageously expensive for the amount of storage you get. I don't plan on getting one any time soon.

Indeed memory is the big thing. You will also have a marginal improvement in performance with 64 bit.

Solid State Drives are indeed expensive. I would only ever get one if you had money to spare and were getting two hard drives anyway. I like them nonetheless, because they are less likely to cause you problems, and as was mentioned, they are very fast. But in your case, I wouldn't recommend it.

And I think that a lot of TVs have direct DVI input in the back. I know mine does in a slot labeled "computer".

I think its a bad idea to buy a gaming computer that can just play current games. When new games come out your computer will need an upgrade to even play it.

Also you just want the PC to just play the game and not play it to its max

The computer linked to above shouldn't have any issues for quite a while. The 4870 is a fairly decent video card.

Lol, for current games my rig is enough (Intel Q6600 with Radeon 2600XT and 2GB ram). Compared to that, the one linked about is at least two generations higher. I think it will last him at least 3 years without any upgrades. Even after that, it should still be able to play most games.

True. My old PC (Athon 64 X2, 9800GT, and 2BG RAM) was able to handle games just fine. The only reason I upgraded was because 3D vision rapes frame rates. Most people don't have that issue.

In all honesty the only thing you need to worry about is CPU and Mobo. That is usually the most difficult and costly to upgrade.

I was starting to think this of myself.
Mag-X. I've decided to stick with the websites i posted earlier, as I feel more comfortable and their are in my price range.
I think it boils down to these three pcs. I will later change the graphics card or video card when needed. Right now it's the one with the BEST proccessor that concerns me.

This one seems a good buy but i checked the reviews and a person said that...

There may come a time when I want to use this PC for gaming, but since it uses an integrated Intel GMAX4500 chip, it may need a dedicated graphics card. Here lies the problem. Due to it's ultra-small form factor, finding a decent half-height PCI-Express x16 card to run on the 220W PSU will be problematic. Acer told me any PCI-E x16 card will fit, but this is not true.

Q:The more proccessor cache a pc has the better? (in scales of mb)

I don't think those are the best deal, but if you must buy one of those, I would suggest the first one. For the second one, you basically paying an extra £50 for an extra Gig of RAM since the video card is useless for gaming. The third one has a decent processor, but you're not going to be able to fit a gaming video card into it.

For £500 you're not really going to get a gaming machine unless you build it yourself.

Comet, PC world, curries and all that are basically rip offs.

I started spec'ing you out a good pc from ebuyer but I guess there's no point since it's not the route you're taking....

The Acer with the quad core is better. They both have horrible embedded graphics processors. As is, their gaming potential is zero. You'll need to buy and install a good one, the same as all the others.
