Hello there, first post of a long time user. There's a couple of questions I'd like to ask, I tried looking everywhere but I could not find the answers so...
1) Ok, this is a question/bug report(maybe). I did read
http://forums.bakabt.me/index.php?topic=20632.0 this topic about well knows errors and the wiki too. So I understand that there are problems with torrents showing up both in incomplete and in leeched, no matter what the ratio, and that those torrents do not move to seeded.
The thing that those posts/wiki entry do not say is what the stats of those torrents are. In my case, torrents that show up twice have different stats.
For example, this torrent
http://bakabt.me/142650-zoku-sayonara-zetsubou-sensei.htmlshows up when stopped both in incomplete and leeched, but not in seeded. My stats are
Client: downloaded 1.96 GB uploaded 2.39GB
Leeched tab: downloaded 1.96 GB uploaded 111 MB
Incomplete tab: downloaded 0 KB uploaded 2.27 GB
So it seems that the tracker somehow split my torrent history in 2, a first phase where it recorded the leeching and some upload, and a second phase where it considered the torrent "new" and so only recorded the upload.
I must admit that torrent WAS stopped for quite some months, so maybe that's the cause, but I wanted to report it just in case, and to ask if this is the common problem you know about, or some new one, since it's not specified in those posts.
2) I have a decent ratio, and I dislike very much having torrents in the leeched tab. I would like to have them all in seeded tab. However, I suffered a hard disk death, and that's the reason I have a lot of torrents there, I still had not finished seeding them back.
Now, I want to correct that, and that will mean redownloading the torrents. What I want to ask is, is there any problem with that? I could not find anything anywhere, so I suppose it's just like downloading normal torrents, and the downloaded amount will be added to the torrents stats so I will have double the torrent size in downloaded, and will have to upload double the torrent size to reach ratio 1:1, right?
For that matter, is there any benefit, even just for flavor, to having all the torrents in the seeded tab? I'm going to do it anyway, but I'm curios. As I could not find anything anywhere, my guess is no, and maybe you could add some. Even just some silly title or something, could be useful in encouraging people to seed. After all Bakabt DOES aim to have well seeded torrents, and even something like that could encourage people to seed more.
