Windows 7 stutter when connected to wireless
« on: February 02, 2010, 10:37:23 PM »
I've never had this happen before, but all of a sudden my wireless connection has gotten extremely slow, and when I'm connected to it (it doesn't matter if the wireless adapter is disabled or not, it's only when connected to the network) I get computer stutter as well. I can't tell the cause, but when I logged into my router and checked the connection logs, the router is blocking tons and tons of incoming packets, so I'm wondering if a person is doing this.

I get all of these blocks whether I have a browser open or not, and I'm not running any other programs that connect to the internet. Don't mind the date as 2004, I never changed it.

Those connections are probably normal, but I can't put it out of suspicion just yet. This problem is really annoying me because it makes the internet unusable, because not only is it extremely slow but if I connect to my network it makes my computer slow also. I can't even watch anime it stutters so bad. :'(

Virus? Or time to hide your wifi?
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

setup your router to only accept your MAC address and block all other connections. If you still get the same problem then its within your computer

You did a really poor job of crossing out your IP address in that screenshot. Since you took the time to do it, I would assume you don't want others to know it. So you might want to redo that.
