It didn't fit?

well as I mentioned in the other thread. . .
I was unaware since it was my first AMD. . . soo. . .my first time with AMD wasnt love. . .it was just raw lustfull. . .amm installation :P
yeah well I put the socket in at it did sort of fit (but it was wiggily). . .I didnt like force a sqare into a round hole. . .it was more like passing a square trough a rectangular hole. . . I saw the socket on the motherboard. . .it looked similar to that of the socket (you know. . 4 little things arranged in a somewhat similar matter)
and well as I said the motherboard was "Phenom II x4 compatible" and i had a "phenom II x4" cpu. . .therefore that happened.

Sounded more like rape if you ask me.
That poor CPU. You're a monster! :'(

Hey, give him a break. We've all forced a CPU at one time....right? ;D
A friend and I were installing a 500mhz AMD K6-2 years ago, and we accidentally the whole thing. Bent half of the pins.
Thank god the pins on those old processors were so big, because I had to bend each one back into place with a screwdriver. I couldn't imagine doing that with some of the newer sockets. I'd just drill a hole through it and turn it into Geek Bling.

Mine went in just right, not much force needed. AMD's should slide in pretty smoothly as well, from past experience with Athlon X2s.
mgz:
call me weird but ive never forced a processor into an incorrect socket but i also took time when purchasing my parts because i paid for them and didnt want to fuck it up.
