AMD confusion (and nonchalant intel talk)

Yeah when i got the right processor it went smoothly . . .thing is as mentioned
intel is easy, big square in the middle. . .no mazes or weird shapes.
AMD has this 4 little spots randomly (looks like it) just spread around. . . they're not even symmetric. . .altho thats good cause you cant miss the shape . . .the only thing I missed is that there were 2 extra pins. . .that ended up fkin everything up.

AMD made it that way so that people won't stupidly force the processor into a socket.
You're lucky the processor has heat spreaders on it. At least you won't have to worry about cracking the processor core when you attach the heatsink.

I always google things when I need to apply force. If it doesn't go in softly... it might not actually fit. :O LE SHOCKE!

you have to admit they look exactly the same if you dont pay like really close attention.
and say. . .you're used to intel's easy simple way of installing processors(align golden arrow and thats it). . .so you think "ahh motherboard says Phenom II x4" I have a phenom II x4. . .sockets look pretty much the same. . .voila!

You know... I only install Hdds, Ram, PCI cards, and Vid cards.... Processors I make my friend in the air force do because I have been known to threaten my computer with hammers if it don't work the way I want it to. Shoulda seen what happened to the speakers with the sledgehammer
