favorite fights in anime

Ive been in the mood for a decent fighting anime. Not naruto, or DBZ. Those are absolute shit. I mean something like Shura no toki or something.

Anyway it got me thinking about some of the best fights in anime. I was just wondering what you guys consider some of the best match ups/specific fights out there. Also if you can post a youtube link to it or something

I'll kick it off with a show im rewatching right now. Its got a lot of good fights but one that stands out in my mind is the Kurapika VS Ubogin fight in HxH. It was pretty intense but the best part was just how friggin cold and mechanical Kurapika was. His personality is completely changed at this point in the story. His eyes looked utterly devoid of emotion the whole fight. Kurapika was just calculating the effects of tearing Ubogin apart to gauge what will work to bring down the rest of the Ryodan. One of the reasons i love this show and that character so much is its one of the few characters in any show that STICKS with his desire for revenge. So often people give up and say revenge isn't worth it. He says F that, and sacrifices so much to gain the power he needs in order to get his revenge and this is the first fight where hes testing out the power he gained from signing away his life. Its also really surprising to see him just utterly dominate like that too

anyway i couldn't find the complete fight on youtube but i found a few AMVs. this one probably highlights it the best, though it doesn't have the savage beating he gives him at the end while questioning him. Note the very end spoils the end of the fight =P

its only about 3 and a half minute sub par amv of about a 15 minute fight but it gives you the idea

Man i love HxH. A real classic in my eyes. One of the only shows where I like pretty much all the characters. No stand out irritating douche. (fave chars probably hisoka though, heh) any other fans out there?

so go ahead post your favorite fights and what show they're from. Preferably a youtube link or something showcasing it would be awesome in case some people havent seen it. And if anyone says DBZ i will find a way to bitch slap you over the interwebz! ;P

one of my favorite fights of all time while its not the best animated fight but is still awesome. Gau Ban in shadow skill vs an army of men. The main good guy super strong guy says to him prior to this fight something to the effect of. Well if you dont single handedly stop that army you just werent man enough.

is that from the TV series or OAV? i remember i saw some of them a LOONGGG time ago on fansub VHS. I think it was the OAV. I recnetly bought the TV series on clearance but i heard it wasn't as good as the OAV. Wondering which series has the fight your talking about. I should have shagged the OAV durring free leech i forgot about it

I do remember the small amount i saw having some decent fights and animatino though, especially for the time.

DBZ Vegeta vs Freeza where freeza did a whoopin to Vegeta, it was fucking hillarious how overconfidence gets you asswhooped :D
