That's a pretty old article. I'm pretty certain the actual date is Feb 16. http://halo.xbox.com/en-us/halolegends

Even then, the only logical explanation for the complete set of rips would be DVD/BD rip.

A friend of mine told me something interesting a while back.
When they make a new product, they send it from the factory/distributor to the stores/chains a while before the sales schedule.
Sometimes a store screw up date, or knowingly sell it earlier that it should.

Imagine a BD in 1'000'000 copies, put on a bunch of trucks, shipped to some warehouses for storage.
Theres bound to be alot of people that know about it. It only takes one to make a rip.

I don't think I said it in my previous posts, but this is basically what I wrote between the lines. It's not irregular for ripping groups to get their hands on these things before the release dates. Borderlands, which was a game released a short while back, was pirated and cracked a week before its launch.

I just wondered why it had surfaced this early. Usually, the dealers won't receive their copies until a couple of days prior to the release. And it seems even weirder that they got it this early after the tactical pushback of the release from 9 February to 16 February.

It's all insider connections. You're looking only at the distribution part. Look into the manufacturing part or even the process before that. Can't the leak start from there?

As Lupin said, we're dealing with your average scene releases when it comes to Halo Legends - it's a worldwide BD/DVD release based on an American franchise, so it's going to get the scene involved. It's only natural.

Frankly I'd just prefer someone who actually knew how to encode would rip the thing... the scene isn't really known for their impressing encoding abilities...

You would've had to wait for another week, given that I'm flying in 12 hours and won't be back for a week.

So it seems there's Japanese AC3 tracks out + English Subtitles on #news - Yuki-chan. I'm getting it now to see how how it fits. Either way, I'd only be swapping 1080p unless I can rip them to mp3 and then swap my XviD torrent.
