Games of the decade

I was reading through those lists - and while I was thinking "wow what a crappy list" for some, then agreeing with others ( up to about 80% ) -

Then being reminded of old greats that are overlooked because they slipped my memory ( bioware titles )

I'm just realizing just how bad these lists are.  :P

You'll never be able to summarize just everything into these lists.  
 
And also - any list that disregards the absolute hugest game of literally all time, with the absolute largest gross & largest userbase ever - of all games - is not a list at all, and is garbage.   All of these lists must literally have at least 1 blizzard game in it - and that is WoW ( ALSO - if WoW is on the list, Warcraft is part of that.   Double listing WoW2/3/WoW - bad.   The games are based on each-other. )

I'm more a fan of great games in-general.   Ranking them 1-10 in order ... that, I'm not the best at.   I've got titles I really love - and they're all "favorites" in some respect.  

Revolutionary games imo -
World of Warcraft
Grand Theft Auto
Halo ( even though I absolutely hate it. )

Games & Series that can not be ignored
Fallout 3
Final Fantasy 12 ( Overused and tired concept.   I don't know if I could honestly say any of the modern ones are "greats".)
Battlefield Bad Company
Half-Life ( Series transformed the FPS genre )
Team Fortress 2 ( Admit it. )
Metal Gear Solid (2/3 --- not 4.)
Call of Duty ( Namely, 4 & 5. )
Bioware titles - D&D, KotOR ( Well done RPGs. )
Shadow of the Colossus ( Even though I don't particularly like it all that much. )
God of War
Dead Rising ( Good game, could have been done better. )

Strat -
I haven't played enough, honestly.
Warcraft 3
World in Conflict

Bad choices, imo:

Nintendo games being there on the list ... the system and exclusiveness just breaks them imo.   That's not gaming.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - is bust.  That game is shit.   Though, if it were a movie - I'd give it a 6/10.   It's not even good as a movie - the acting is shit, the visuals are plastic, and the script is crap.  ( so even as a movie of the decade - it still fails. )

If you took a look at everyone's lists - there's a definite top 5, that DO dominate most people's lists - that much, we can be sure of.  :)  

A "great" in my opinion - is a game that was:

- Well done
- Zero flaws
- Nothing to be desired
- No room for improvement

Shadow of the Colossus
Mega Man 9
The Wind Waker (this one's probably my favorite)
Okami
Knights of the Old Republic
Diablo 2
Morrowind
Snake Eater
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Jet Set Radio Future

By the way, I thought I was the only one who really liked SotC. I'm surprised to see it on so many lists.

SotC always seemed like such a cool game, one of the few games that has made me seriously thinking about getting a console.

If you've got a decent (3+ Ghz Core 2 Duo or better) PC, just buy a copy and play it with pcsx2.
