I live in Baltimore and it's been snowing again for a few hours now. They are saying another 20 inches on top of the almost 3 feet we got on Saturday... I can't take another day trapped inside again. I need to get back to work and make some money myself.
Grab a shovel and get to work ;)

Where i live in England the entire area shuts down if theres +5 centimetres of snow on the floor.

Pussies... :P

It's snowing here as well, but at least it's not too cold, just a couple degrees below zero. When it was snowing all the time AND -20 Celcius, well that was a bit too much.
Right now we finally have a proper winter.

Have fun, Global Warming people ;)

I'm sitting here now freezing my balls of thanks to "Global Warming" if it were up to me everyone would be forced to drive Range Rovers.

Snow storms don't disprove global warming. Because we have planes and birds that can fly, it doesn't disprove gravity. If it rains in the desert, it doesn't disprove the existence of deserts.   :P

Global Warming/Climate change will actually cause snow storms. Because of the increased energy in the atmosphere, it can cause it to snow in the Sahara and have a heat wave in Alaska. That is how climate change and global warming work. It causes extreme weather and climate shifts initially.  It doesn't just get 'hotter'.

Climate change is indeed happening, but whether it's caused by humans or not, remains to be seen.  :-\

When you use "quotes" around a word, you are usually implying tounge-in-cheek sarcasm.

Edit: In his context, I mean. My reply was light-hearted though. Hence the emoticons. Definitely don't want to get into a climate change debate. :D

Well in New England we wouldn't normally even get a delay for that. Although some places hear the word snow on the forecast and cancel only to find that the news once again lied.  :P

They are saying that Baltimore set a new annual tally of 72.3 inches. That surpassed the 62.5 inches that fell in 1995-96, according to the National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia. Apparently, 48ish of that has came from the past 6 days. It's fucking insane. Another day trapped and we might have to eat the dog...

Send some here, we're having one of the warmest winters on record.  Flowers are already starting to bud.

They're having a tough time getting enough snow for the Olympics in Vancouver because you're hogging it all :(

So we ended up getting nothing. Just the initial 5-6 inches of snow. Disappointing. =(

I've had snow here since mid December and it just won't melt. This place usually gets snow that melts within two-three days. I live in the southern part of Sweden, don't want to live in the northern parts.

With things (this winter) going up around 0 and then going back down to -20 C the ice on the less trafficked streets isn't fun, once the snow cover is gone it is going to be hell. :/ (I use a bicycle all year around.)

Yeah, we still have about 20 cm of snow left from the storm in mid November. It's been incredibly warm the last few weeks though (daytime highs of ~5º, T-shirt weather). I'm kind of hoping it'll stay like this until the snows end in May. I'd better go sacrifice some bison to the gods or something.

Looks more or less the same here... except we don't cancel anything ;) Well, except for some areas in south-west part of the contry where power lines got severely damaged and the typical "Polish Syberia" in the north-east corner, where it's always the coldest with most snow - up there they had to call the army to clear the way to some villages because people got cut off.
Otherwise, it's normal daily life with the added bonus of complicated parking and some extra fun while driving ;)

Its nice to know that elsewhere city governing people also do not get rid of the snow. Is there also ice under the half melted snow one the sidewalks?
Its seem that they simply do not clean the snow in old city  >:( I walkt that usually takes 5 min now takes 15-20 mins >:( annoying

The snow problem here also seems to be getting more and more annyoying this year, its kind of reminds me of my childhood when this kind of snowing was kind of normal, just then I liked snow :D

I'm in the Piedmont (basically the central part) of North Carolina, and already we've had 3 snowfalls with accumulation.  Highly unusual for this part of NC.

This past Friday's snow has pretty much melted off, but it was a b---h driving in it Friday (had to take my car to the shop, and the only practical way for me to do so was to go to my mother's in Alamance County so she could pick me up...was good to spend time with her as it were, so it wasn't SO bad)

Here they throw salt on the sidewalks, so they're not covered in ice... just a lot of melted snow, which leaves nasty salt marks on shoes when it dries.

oh here they do the same thing, salt with sand and it makes half melted snow that ruins boots and leaves ugly white lines on clothes for these who wear trousers. But I guess they did something wrong and now there is ice in some places under that half melted snow and walking is really hard. I guess they did not clean to well hoping that it will melt really soon and we get to see stuff like this:
