One Piece on break for 4 weeks after chapter 597, so it seems.

It also seems that One Piece will be renamed to One Piece: The New World. Though I can't say for sure if that is true since the information in the above link are so hard to understand or to make any sense of.

So that will bring it back to episode 1 like with Naruto?
Shame.... I really wanted to have One Piece episode 800 or something =P
Then again.. It was to be expected that it would be called "The new world".
Was thinking about it.. Tho more like "One Piece: Strong world" lol =P

Hmmm... this is interesting though.
Does this mean that the anime is going to stop with the manga and that the anime will go on break for a year or 2 while manga continues story or are they going to attempt to keep it going with a 50-100 episode filler arc.
Personally I think it would be great to let it stop for a year. The publicity that it has gained is huge and the idea of waiting then announcing a comeback and ultimate new series would be awesome. They could probably last for awhile by continuing the manga only.
Also with an ending to the first season a number of people would pick it up knowing that it would be at an ending of some kind and know that they could catch up. Then everyone would be set for a new anime season with even more fans after a break.

There's no need for the anime to go on break as well. The manga is good a while ahead of the anime. The WB arc has enough stuff to bridge these weeks. Personally, the WB is even way too long.

As I'm watching episode 463 atm.. I came to think... When One Piece eventually will end...
(click to show/hide)Will it end with Luffy getting executed after being Pirate King for some years and having everything he wants... And if so.. If any of the marines will capture him.. I think it would be Coby that will capture him.. He's bount to get stronger right.. As well.. We still see him once in a while... He's bound to have "some" role in the future in One Piece O.o.
Knowing that Coby wants to become an Admiral.. As Luffy as well said to him... That they will fight someday.
