And I agree with you Newy.
It's better then Naruto.. (The character development is just SO MUCH BETTER).. And don't let me started about bleach.... (How much that went down the drain)

Wasn't Doflamingo the Shichibukai with the highest prior bounty?

Though he just got surpassed by Blackbeard, I recall Doflamingo being the strongest Shichibukai when they all got introduced at once. Crocodile was, however, told to have a small initial bounty for having been recruited right away. Jimbei wasn't in that group introduction though, so it's hard to tell.

Jinbei's bounty was apparently 250million.

Bounties are not so much to do with power as more destructive force. I imagine Don had the highest bounty because he was the most evil of them all really. For example, Eustass Kid was stated to only have a higher bounty than Luffy because of the destruction he left in his wake not because of the achievements that he had amassed.

Although Don's powers seem formidable I imagine that his bounty was that high not just because of his strength. I do however doubt that Jinbei is the strongest or the weakest. In saying that as well Mihawk's bounty was never given out however I doubt that his bounty would have been much as he does not run around killing people and destroying things for fun yet he is more than a formidable foe.

Oda has stated to using bounties mostly as a "pseudo powerlevel indicator" when he was asked what kind of bounty Enel would have if he was a denizen of the blue seas. Oda said he'd have a bounty of about 500,000,000 Beli.

Bounties do have a certain value of measure for power, as the only bounties that got an "excuse" were Crocodile "for being so low" (he got recruited before it could climb higher), and Eustass (He committed many horrible crimes against innocents). Yet Luffy tackled head on Enies Lobby, the symbol of Marine Justice and won. Subsequently him and his crew got a really huge total bounty, but his individual bounty isn't as high as a man who "committed many horrible crimes against innocents". Otherwise, even Bellamy assaulted Luffy on the premise that he only had a 30,000,000 Beli bounty, which means characters in the series do interpret bounties as relative power level. Fun fact, we ignore the bounties of Whitebeard and his crew(including Ace), and Blackbeard(and his crew). This leaves us unable to approximate how powerful they are in relation to other characters.

Plus Oda has admitted to being a DBZ fan, so Bounties = powerlevel is more likely than it seems... :P

Se like we allready knew.. And we can assume now.. His power- Erm... His bounty is gonna skyrocket 8D.
Meh... 1 more week tho.. And then finalt we can watch it again.. Makes it 2 weeks for the first chapter again -.-
