Franky in Chopper's body is so much win. Robin's comment (so mean, Robin) about the facial expression from a few weeks back and this week with the transformation. Good laughs.

Still a bit disappointed by the fact that Zoro got beaten by the Yeti Cool brothers. I understand that he might've been distracted by Sanji and that the yetis can camouflage themselves but would've assumed that Zoro had a 6th/7th sense for that type of thing especially when they easily got beaten up by Luffy.

dunno, I've been wondering the same. But wasn't that 1 3 week hiatus because he was hospitalized? (can't remember) So, a follow up? //or the docs told him to do less work?

Didn't he have a troublesome encounter two years ago? I mean I totally don't mind that another rookie is back but I remember vaguely that the encounter implied that he would be caught.

The revelation in the latest chapter can be the beginning of a really, really outstanding battle we have been missing since the war two years ago imo. FMI and PH weren't really good fights imo.

Remembering all the times the two threatened each other, there was so much build-up. o__o
But in the end, iirc we got ONE page of the two actually fighting!
The conclusion makes it pretty clear how the fight must have gone: Doflamingo used Law as a mop to clean the bridge with. xD
Still would have liked to see a bit more action after all that had happened before and not seeing the battle makes me kind of wonder if Law just stood there and got beaten up, or if they fought a proper fight off-screen.
At least now Doflamingo looks like a legit enemy for Ruffy to fight... not a pushover like the last two arcs' bosses.

Probably to demonstrate just how stronger Doflamingo was than Law. We can always hope that the fight will be expanded upon in the anime. For example Naruto vs. Pain wasn't nearly as long as it was in the manga than the anime.

A diversion would make sense since Law hardly used any of his powers.

And well, i dunno... about the strength, i find it really hard to judge anyone's strength in One Piece, as there are no real indicators. There's no power meter or anything and ranks are achieved with ambition and wits just as much as with strength. Like, you won't rise up the ladder in the marine if you're not trying, you won't get your bounty increased if you don't piss off the marines or if you are (like both of these two here) a Shichibukai. As far as battles go, we haven't seen much of these characters either.
So it's hard to say what the outcome of this fight says about their strength relative to other characters. xD

Well yes... but don't you think there could have been better ways to divert him? Law's ability seems like it would be fitting for hit-and-run action or maybe just playing hide and seek. XD
Doing a fist fight against someone who'll stomp you in a few minutes (? No idea how long it actually took.) doesn't sound that desirable in comparison. Though Doflamingo might have just said: "I'm too busy for this nonsense, bye bye!"
He DID seem to have a strong desire to beat him though.
Oh well. The author decided this is what happened, so there's no use arguing about it. For me, it's kind of an anticlimax.

That enmity between them had me really curious what would happen when they clashed, yet in the end we hardly got to see anything.

Well, it does beg the question just how strong Doflamingo is. Can Luffy beat him? I don't see anyone else than Luffy taking him down. So he must be.

I never said i don't think he is strong! Was just surprised at the difference.
But you know, maybe Law just ain't that much of a fighter. Thinking back on the last arc, he did defeat a few people, but all he did was cut them to pieces with his ability and then leaving them to rot.

Hm... won't there be a new chapter tonight?

It seems like the action will start now... there are still so many of Doflamingo's crew about that i guess it will be a while until the final battle.

By the way, do they take a break at christmas, at new years or both? XD
Ah, my friend told me already, they're taking a break in january.

The new chapter made me feel warm and fuzzy.

It's obviously Sabo. Plenty of hints in that chapter.

Edit - interesting to see Koala return as a character as well. She was the little girl slave who Fisher Tiger saved.
