As I understand it those that has the beta client still installed can watch replays or use the map editor (pre activated) to play the AIs. Was some program set up for playing offline as well, so one could play if one wanted to.

True, but I want to feel the excitement of playing the real game, so I'm not going to play cracked AI through the break. The only thing I hope is that I'll be able to keep my regular name...Bliss is always taken. It's looking to be a fun game. It'll at least last 2 years hopefully.

I'm going to have fun and edit/make maps on the map editor. The only problem I hate about it is the lack of .wav files to make it more authentic.

It won't be taken. You will be Blisse, then after that you will get a code to make the nick unique. Everybody can have the same nickname, they just add a unique identifier on top of it.

Does the identifier work the same way as in Phase 1?

Four more days. And I don't even know if I can get it on the launch day. Local Gamestops always run out. ><

As I understand it it will be a random identifier, not one you yourself get to choose. I am not sure though. I guess the 100+ people known as esports got the point across. ^^

DD is probably more expensive then some of the deals you can get offline. I do not want anything except the key from a game, but if it is cheaper in a store...

But I like holding the box! It's so boxy. I want everything I can get from my money, which includes all the paper and cardboard.

I'll go buy it early on the day of release. If I can wake up. :)

How it'll end up for me:

Wake up
Know Starcraft 2 is out
Go to work
Think about Starcraft 2
Work
Think about getting Starcraft 2 later that night
Go get Starcraft 2
Then finally come home to play it.

2 more days guys... then it's Genesis time!

Picking it up at midnight on launch day. I already have the installer downloaded and ready to go. I still haven't decided whether to jump into the campaign or do some multiplayer first tho.

One great thing about having a roommate who owes rent money is getting home today to find a copy of SC2 waiting for me.   ;D
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

Mmm, I intend to get it and play the single player - for purpose of plot :). I used to play the first SC, NOT broodwar, on the net... lots... we had an Israeli clan... [)ark... From which I inherited my nickname...

Anyway, awesome game, I saw soem replys, looks sweet, but... I won't be going battlenet with it, no will for it.
