Some timing issues, some cases where ram just wouldn't work, etc. And buying win7 if you can afford it is a better option than pirating it, less hassle.

What you should do it google something like "[mobo-name] problems". If its a well known mobo and you dont find alot of complaints about it, then its prolly nice.
Check the details of what OS the drivers support.
Buy memory thats fully supported by the mobo.

Have another computer with internet at the ready, for downloading bios and drivers.

If i had done these things when i bought my last mobo, id had less of and headache getting it to work.
My mobo is a MSI. In retrospect i should have sent it back and gotten another brand. I were blinded by the newest games.. and never did.

If you don't think triple channel memory is worth the money, why not save some and look at 1156 socket motherboards?

If you want to save some money on Windows, you could get the upgrade version. You can do a fresh install with it (with a trick), and since you're upgrading your current PC which already has a valid Windows licence, it's actually not even against Microsoft's rules (not that anyone actually cares.)

For windows 7 don't you need business or ultimate to get the XP mode? AFAIK, Home premium doesn't have it. (Unless they changed it)

nstgc:
Professional also has it.

Since no one mentioned the video card i guess i will.

I'm not sure of the exact prices you are looking at in Sweden (or what kind of deal you are getting on that GTX 275) but i would recommend ether looking at ATI's Radeon 5850 or waiting for nVidea to release their new 300 series. The 5850 is a much better price vs performance than anything nVidea can offer right now.
