Its depends what you wana do... cuz IMO XP Mode is a big fail. I was hoping it will work better than VMware, but it wont - im talking about gaming and Direct3D acceleration. Imo if im not looking at this I prefer freeware/opensource options. Oh and my xp mode after "integration mode" cant use 32-bit color, and normal resolution. It just my opinion

Hope it helped you cuz win7 anit cheap

The pricing prediction for nVidia's fermie isn't looking too good.

Watched that video and picked the cheaper dx 10 card due to not being impressed. :)

Your choice mate :) We can only present options, it's ultimately you that decides what goes in your rig ;)

Only thing i can add is that the 5850 is one of the fastest cards out there (about 25% faster than a 275 according to several review sites), but quite a few ask "Do you really need something that fast?" ;D

Yep, I post since I want those options. I even got a good tool for comparison (the video), I then went and watched a few other ones and decided it was something that didn't matter for this computer. That benchmark was moderately impressive, other sources not so much.

This helps a lot since it was the major feature that would make me go up a step on the ladder. Dual booting/vmware (or similar) is a better deal then, costs nothing (but time) and works as well (or better). I would mostly use it to play 16-bit or old games that are still 32-bit but won't work on newer OS/graphics cards. (That and have most things set as Japanese to get visual novels working.)
